I didn't watch a single minute of the first one, but I heard that one of Candidate Trump's excuses for his poor performance was a microphone problem. I can't take credit for this one; I read it somewhere first. "The only problem with his microphone was that it was turned on."
October 9, 20169 yr It's fun watching the theatrics we see in cases like this when it comes to endorsements. Sen Portman has said he will no longer endorse Trump and will vote for Gov Pence for POTUS.
October 9, 20169 yr I don't see the comment made by Trump as being very damaging. Those who support either him or the party are still going to vote for him or the party. I don't think the election will be close enough where we can say some undecideds changed their vote to HRC because of this quote and it impacted the outcome.
October 9, 20169 yr If you have two terrible candidates, and one is knowledgeable and capable and the other one is not, I don't think there is any choice but to vote for the terrible candidate who at least is capable. Personally, I really wanted to vote for Gary Johnson but he has been more disappointing than the other two. I feel cornered into my vote for President for the first time ever. Excellent post. October 9, 20169 yr I think she's extremely inept. I also think she'd be a one term president. Right now, I don't see anyone on the other side that would strike fear into her or the Democrats. Maybe Paul Ryan. However, if he doesn't divorce himself from Trump AND SOON, he won't be viable in 2020 either.

October 9, 20169 yr I find it comical the ever pervading notion that so many have that if they speak as if they're the authority on something, then without a doubt what they are saying must be true. No doubt effective speech is a necessary approach when stating one's position, but anyone capable of critical thinking can read right through it when others are just spitting out words to see where they splatter. I'm not sure if it's always been this way, or if I'm just noticing it now more than ever, and especially with political speak, but so many people shamelessly will say just about anything to spin and slant reality for the sake to shape it to match how they want things to be perceived rather than the way things are. I think that the biggest culprits of this annoying habit would be talk radio hosts, politicians, and the media, both mainstream and otherwise, but sadly it seems to spill out over to the general public when they blindly interpret what rubbish or half truths they digest as gold and turn around just to regurgitate it. I suppose that this technique works on the more gullible types, but I'm forever shaking my head and questioning if there really are such a large portion of our culture that so easily just believes everything they hear without questioning its validity. Sadly this appears to be the case, but hopefully my perception is inaccurate.
