Oakland Raiders - Contenders or Pretenders?

Featured Replies

At 3-1, should be 4-0, but at 3-1 are they legit contenders? Or will they flake out?

Contenders for the playoffs yes, Contenders for the super bowl, no.

I think they are contenders. Scary thing, they really haven't even got their #1 WR going a whole lot just yet. Crabtree is having a great season for them thus far though.

I say contenders.

Patriots, Steelers, and Broncos I would say are the leaders in the clubhouse. Is Oakland #4? Other?

NE and Denver have to be the top tier. Then Pittsburgh, Cincinnati in the next tier, then Oakland, KC, AFC South Winner.

This week is a must win for Cincy. They have NE up there the next week when UKMF will be in the house.

New England and Pittsburgh are the top tier IMO. I put Denver slightly below them. Outside of those three, I see virtually no chance anyone else makes it to the Super Bowl.

Pretty much. IMO, a Bengals loss Sunday and they can kiss the postseason goodbye.

Absolutely it is. I think the Bengals are just an all around better team than the Cowboys though so they should be fine imo. But the following week it seriously isn't even worth the travel costs associated with sending the team up there. There isn't a single team in the league that wouldn't get absolutely blown out in that game being its Brady's first home game.

I actually put Denver at the top of that list. I think their defense might be even better than last year and they are getting much better QB play so far. I like Denver a lot.
