Nevermind....The Marlins have two prospects with the last name White. :lol2:

Okay, final edit...Looks like I was right. OF Isaiah White (#16 Marlins prospect) is the final piece.

Jim Bowden's take on the deal:

The Cincinnati Reds have made a tremendous lopsided deal acquiring top pitching prospect Luis Castillo, legitimate bullpen arm in Austin Brice and an athletic OF prospect in Isaiah White. They sell high on Dan Straily, who's coming off his career best season but his peripherals say he won't repeat it. A back of rotation type starter. Castillo straight up for Straily would have been a win for the Reds. Great job of grinding by Reds GM Dick Williams on this one.

Sounds like an absolutely great deal for the Reds. Acquire 2 solid pitching prospects and a young, 20 year old CF with "plus plus speed".

Great trade. Glad to see Reds figured out how to make good trades.

I'm equally excited about some of the young pitchers earning a spot in the rotation. Sounds like Stephenson, Garrett, and Reed will be competing for the final spots. That's assuming @UKMustangFan's boy Finnegan is slotted in the starting rotation behind Disco & Homer. :D

Glad to see that the Reds were able to capitalize on Straily's strong season. Even more glad to come here and see that all you guys are very happy with the trade.

Is White "Billy Hamilton 2.0"?

0.5 from the looks of his slash line.

Castillo comes in at #9 now in the Reds organization.

Reds signed reliever Scott Feldman.

A report says they are talking to Arroyo.

Wasn't Feldman a starter at one time and could he be considered in the rotation if he has better spring training over Stephenson and Reed?

I guess it's possible, but very unlikely IMO.

They aren't going to start a journeyman sometimes starter over two young guys that they have hopes of anchoring their rotation for the next 4-5 years.

Sounds like Price thinks he'll be in the rotation....Doesn't make sense to me, but :idunno:

I'm guessing someone to eat some innings early in the year to delay service time and because most those young guys won't be making it 200+ innings.
