Every year I look forward to this game and somehow I'm still looking. I always have wanted to see Open play in person but have never been able to lay eyes on them. All I ever see are the Rams. I'm told the Ghosts are there but they must move like lightning.

OPEN is so tough they are also going up against Male this week. Is there a webcast for either game?

 

I hope this doesn't mean the Open "B" squad is coming to Raceland. This could prompt a thread move to the controversial topics forum.

No one for sure but enrollment at Open is at an all-time high. With increased numbers, they are scheduling several games on the same night and dividing up and going to different venues. They have to be pretty good because they never play at home.

This isn't a knock on Raceland, but I'd be stunned if they managed to put any points on the board. The OPEN defense just has such an incredible track record and basically no fall-off from the 1st string to the 3rd. Yards will be tough to come by in this match-up for the Rams.

 

I understand what you're saying. Last season we thought we had a scheme to block them and after the game started, was like our kids were blocking thin air !

Why doesn't Raceland ever play Open on the road? It seems Raceland never makes money when playing Open. I just don't see why this game is scheduled every year.

For some reason Open's fans doesn't travel very well.

As a huge Open fan it is so frustrating to be undefeated every year and go nowhere in the playoffs.

Also, what about "Bye week" ? ...please tell me that they are remaining independent !!

 

NewCath had them on the schedule last week, they were no-shows :no: talk about frustrating.

Russell schedules these guys on the first week of the season. Maybe that's why so early, they want to get the low money game that's a no win situation out of the way :idunno:

Actually, I think that we (Raceland) should drop Open. "Bye Week" and "Idle" are in the same classification and don't seem to be listed on other teams schedules as often as "Open". I would like to go that route and see how it works out. May be a better game and hopefully not the same empty / nothing feeling that we get from this week every season.

Ram, they have moved their stadium, is now located "Nowhere", I don't know if they have natural or artificial turf. I was checking around the town of "whoknowsville", trying to get directions. I pulled into a little nowhere bar ....found a guy who isn't there now, I had to wait until he finished eating his pickled eggs. After all that, all I got was a blank look and :idunno:.

 

I can give you directions. It's really hard to fined, go out of the parking lot and turn right on "Down the road a piece". Wait, was that left or right? It doesn't madder. Go to the second stop light and turn left on somewhere street and you will not miss it.

When do they play Forfeit? I have heard that they have not won a game yet.

I listened to last weeks OPEN match up with NCC. Tuned into AM000 to pick that one up. It was just white noise...tried to track down some film to try and help Salmons and Co out on the scouting report as well. Was supposed to meet the guy at the Bluegrass Drive-In to swap. I showed up, but no one ever came. Typical OPEN move if you ask me. How can they be on everyone's schedule and no one ever know anything about them?
