Great stat work!

Eagles were without their starting senior quarterback and top senior tailback. Freshmen Ryan Mattingly was in at QB. Ryan is going to be a very good player, I'm sure this was a tough, but valuable experience for him.

Without the starting Qb and starting TB, I would think that HC would win this game by more than 26.

The Eagle parents/fans are very hospitable. Thank you for making us feel welcome after a long drive. As ukfan70 pointed out, the Eagles didn't have their starting QB. We were able to give many of our younger guys some playing time and try some new things on the field. Looking forward to next week.

Yes, there are a couple Holy Cross fans that made some outlandish predictions early that they have eaten crow on, but let's not blow up every Holy Cross thread with posts like this one. If those posters come back in, fire away and I will be right there with you but let Holy Cross fans enjoy these players and a fine season they are putting together. Lord knows they put up with a lot of pain over the last 2 or 3 years. I am happy for the players at Holy Cross who have persevered and are having success this year.

A lot of passing and trying different plays for the holy cross offense. they just need to give the big guys the ball. But still I think it was a good win because IMO you are happy when you shut any team out. But yes they should of won by More.

I'm guessing the 4 turnovers on the stat sheet helped stall some HC drives.

 

Hate that I didn't get to go to this one and meet @nkypete and the other HC folks. Alas, I was called elsewhere. Hope some of you got a chance to come down early and take in some sights in the Bourbon City.

Missed seeing you too. I think there were several parents who stayed overnight to visit one or more of the distilleries in the area.
