I think it's safe to say old white dudes dominate the top 1% of wealth in this country. I wonder how much that has to do with it. That gap has also widened a lot.

Nothing to say except white "male" privilege still exists. Especially at the top levels of the food chain. There are outliers for sure, but in general it still exists.

Our school district is always begging for teachers of color to apply. The salary is determined by years of experience and is the same for everyone - so no wage gap.

Students REALLY need to see people who look like them in teacher roles. The school faculties REALLY need diversity. But we have SOOOO few applicants of color.

I keep those things to myself. But it is bigger than one person. Can only do what I can do. Not sure I can rid myself of being white and privileged in this country any more than a person of color can rid themselves of being a person of color.
