IMO, and I have not seen the Bluejackets play, but they have built a 5-0 record against a very weak schedule and teams annually not known as normally strong programs. Not a winning record by any of the opponents and a combined 8-13 on the season. NC appears very one dimensional with only 8 pass completions on the season. Still believe the Mustangs are going to surprise.

I think the question here is how good is Nicholas' pass defense. Brossart has gained much of their offense through the air and if Nicholas cannot match up on the outside then it could be a much longer night for NC than they think. Brossarts offense can put up point in bunches when they get on a roll, and Nicholas is a ball control type of team. Should be a heck of a game.

Brossart hasn't played anyone as good as West Carter, which Nicholas dominated. I got Nicholas at home by 10. If Brossart doesn't keep this game respectable(by an upset win or close loss), they could drop below Paris for last in district at this early point

Agree BB has played a very weak schedule to date, as NC has likewise. West Carter is no way a powerhouse itself. West Carter has their only two wins against the #40 Cantrall rated 4A East Carter (last in 4A); and #33 of 41 rated 3A Powell Co. West Carter's only decent opponent before Nicholas was #5 in 1A Raceland which they lost handily. Stats show Nicholas 17-6 win over West Carter was won by their rushing defense, but did give up 130+ yards in the air (BB's strength). Still think the Stangs will make this a very competitive game.

I guarantee Cincinnati Aiken, which dominated Brossart would rail any of the teams. It's a totally different type of size, speed and athleticism. So to say they haven't seen someone this good is nothing but hogwash.

Agree that Aiken would dominate every team NC or Brossart has seen thus far. And Aiken is not anything special but it is a whole other world.

Both schedules are very similar. Opponents they have both faced are below marginal at best, besides Aiken and Raceland. West Carter, who has 2 wins against horrible teams, is nothing to write home about if that is considered the Bluejacket's signature win so far. The only thing that may give Nicholas County an advantage is home field. Otherwise, Brossart is going to bring a little dimension known as heart to go along with their talent and will win this 27-14.

Unless something has changed Berea, also a member of District 5, is looking for their first district win in two seasons and will be major underdogs to the remainder of the district.

The Bethlehem game is pretty solid win for Nicholas.

Had forgot about Berea, but out of the big 4 the loser of this game should drop to 4th for the week. If Brossart wins at Carlisle they catapult to #1, if Nicholas loses at home they go to 4th until they play Paris

Has anyone on here seen both teams play this year?
