I lived there for 8 years when my dad was stationed there a couple of times. Hawaii just becomes a chain of Islands when you live there. It's a long way from the mainland. And they are right that the native Hawaiians aren't really fond of the "howlies".

I've always thought of Hawaii as a place that looks good on paper but not so much when you actually live there.

In his only year at Hopewell in Va. he finished runner-up and almost pulled off a huge upset in the finals of highly favored Norcom. Took over a good program there and probably made it even better. Does a very good job. MC made a HR hire!

Has he moved to Harrodsburg and began work yet? Will anyone else from Hopewell move to Harrodsburg?

When I spoke to him at his introduction, he was hoping to get moved in and start with the team this week.

I drove down to Harrodsburg on Tuesday afternoon with my wife we went over to the high school to their knowledge he wasn't there yet. I don't know what his job will be besides coaching but was told by the high school secretary that he wasn't working at the high school. Don't know if she was uninformed or he is working at another school in the district.

Coach Young is in the building today and will be here permanently, soon. We are really glad to have him as a Titan!

Sounds like the Titans are doing good with all of the hires the last couple of years. Good luck to Coach Young and the Titan Basketball Team.
