September 12, 201610 yr Larry Fitzgerald: Career Stats at NFL.com Is Larry a sure fire HOF'er? 10th in receptions 14th in yardage 8th(tied) in TD's 18th in Yds per game
September 12, 201610 yr Yes yes yes!!! More so than what I heard this morning claiming Revis is a no doubt hall of famer. I don't think Revis is. He had a couple good years but not a long span of seasons where he was among the best.

September 12, 201610 yr Larry Fitzgerald: Career Stats at NFL.com Is Larry a sure fire HOF'er? 10th in receptions 14th in yardage 8th(tied) in TD's 18th in Yds per game Feels like a YES to me. I am fine not being a 1st ballot though. I am becoming less interested in stats because numbers for today's QBs and WRs are so skewed.

September 12, 201610 yr I'm going to say yes...and if had played with a good qb(s) for most of his career (which he did not, played with some gosh awful ones for the most part) then his numbers would be even higher on this list. To be honest I'm surprised his numbers are as high as they are.
September 12, 201610 yr We need to start another thread on this, but you can argue Revis is the best corner since Prime Time. about 5 years ago I would have agreed, but in the last 4 years he isn't even the best at his position. I guess the reason I feel Fitz is a no doubt HOFer is because he's been so consistent for a long time. Revis had a couple great years. If you think Revis is a no doubt HOFer then you have to say the same about Chad Johnson. both were as relevant for the same amount of seasons as they played at the top of their game and the league.
September 12, 201610 yr 1st ballot. Not arguing, but I wanted to compare it to another WR not in the HOF yet: Fitzgerald's curret stats: 1,026 receptions 13,447 yards 71.9 yards per game 100 touchdowns Terrel Owens stats: 1,078 receptions 15,934 yards 72.8 yards per game 153 touchdowns
September 12, 201610 yr Revis is an absolute no doubter. I'd put Ken Riley in long before Revis. In the same first 9 years Revis has 28 int's, Riley had 42 in his first 9. Put Riley in and then I can consider Revis. Edited September 12, 201610 yr by Hellbird

Fitz is considered a great guy, TO is universally hated. Does that play a factor? Shouldn't, but I bet it does.
September 12, 201610 yr Eventually. I don't think he'll be a first ballot HOFer. If guys like Terrell Owens, Chris Carter and Michael Irvin aren't first ballot HOFers then Firzgerald won't be either.
September 12, 201610 yr TO should've been in 1st chance as well. Fitz is considered a great guy, TO is universally hated. Does that play a factor? Shouldn't, but I bet it does. If it plays out that way then the NFL HOF is as much as a joke as the MLB HOF.
