All I remember from that game was rain. It was the lost decade after all. I do know that John L. Smith was the coach and that Ragone was the QB.

 

Just even thinking about that game and that time makes me angry. I'm all wound up now. Chris Rix is the greatest quarterback that never was. All the ability, almost none of the instinct.

For the rest of my life, when I think of my favorite sports moments, I'll hear Mike Tirico's voice yelling "HERE'S HENRY MILLER! HENRY MILLER! LOUISVILLE WINS!"

 

Just watched the end of that game at lunch today. Overtime lasted all of two combined plays: Anthony Floyd picked off Chris Rix, then the offense trotted out and Ragone handed the ball to Miller and just like that it was over.

Yep, that's why I remember.

 

I also remember his call from that game because I HATE how he said "What a great start for the UofL!" after the opening kick off. Still bothers me. :lol2:
