Trinity 37 Male 34

Why not give Trinity credit for a great comeback win. Well deserved! Why knock Male's players and Coaches by saying they were outconditioned. Which in football language degrades preparation, desire, effort, motivation, focus, intelligence, and effort. Takes away from awesome Rocks victory while degrading the Bulldogs. I wouldn't want to give Coach Wolfe's program anymore bulletin board material.

Oh I'm pretty sure he already has enough !

Pretty simple....you saw Ky's defense the 2nd half against So. Miss. They weren't out-conditioned...they were gassed by guys that were fresher because of depth and substitution patterns and overpowered the questionably matched abilities of UK. Male, with their conditioning emphasis, will likely never meet a team in better condition. Unless you saw Coach Wolfe's practices, you arguably might never understand.

And unless you've seen a Beatty practice you have no point of comparison. Not to call out young men but there were several of their linemen with guts. Male met a better conditioned team Friday night. Sorry if you don't agree but it's true. I get it you think Chris Wolfe invented football.

I firmly believe that the change in the direction of this thread explains why you don't have a diverse community on this forum. Not that grown men can't disagree about kids playing a game, but some seem so determined to be right about moot points. I see why this forum loses quality posters from more programs. Ah well I guess it's just the way of people and their internet.

Trinity has nothing to be ashamed of for having pride in their team's tradition. It is THE premier private school in this region IMVHO. Most people I encounter around the metro agree that Male is doing great things challenging Trinity Almighty. I guess Coach Wolfe and his staff are doing something right for having his team prepared to play a seemingly superior ball club.

Blame the win or the loss on whatever. Conditioning, gassed players, preparation, scheme, it doesn't matter.

How many times have these two teams played a ONE possession game?

I think very much of what you say is true.

It is a great thing for the state of the game to have more parity.

Fact - Male was gassed, very big boys not in the most tip-top shape - Trinity was better conditioned. If anyone was watching the game live, you could clearly see it.

Interesting comments about the Male QB and his hand. I personally feel like Male/Wolfe let off the gas pedal. If he wanted, he could have thrown the ball deep all night and put Trinity in the body bag (and that is coming from a Trinity fan). Something changed in that game and my personal opinion was it didn't have anything to do with Trinity making subs or coaching guys up in the secondary - either the QB couldn't get the ball deep down field or Wolfe chose not to throw it deep anymore. After doing it 3 - 4 times, kind of like Male packed in the deep ball and said "OK, we can destroy them AGAIN in the air - don't show them anymore". This part of the game has been an issue for T the past 5 years - and it isn't getting any better. Too many athletes on the team to be that bad in the secondary year after year. What gives???

His passes on their last drive looked awful sharp.

Just going by what he said and considering H never tried another long bomb after that despite T having zero answer for those bombs, it made sense.

It's one thing for the receiver to get open but it's another for the QB to throw the deep ball on the money. The Male QB was very accurate on the deep ball. M got the 3rd quarter kickoff and moved methodically down the field for a TD without the benefit of the deep pass......took about 6.5 minutes as I recall. I personally thought that this was a coachng decision by Male, figuring T would (finally) adjust to the deep ball, so we should counter that by the short pass and running game. However, Male was not able to muster much 2nd half offense after that----whether grind it out or deep passing game.
