I couldn't believe SK enrollment was that high when someone told me that yesterday. Then I remembered it is the only high school in the county with a daycare.....

SK is a better team than Conner.

 

They didn't show last night to be as good as I thought they were.

 

Conner's top-end talent is right there with SK.

 

So much of football is line play - you want to see a bad offense, find a bad o-line. You want to find a great defense - find a great d-line. SK has a little more talent and a lot more depth across both lines than Conner - it was a huge difference as the game went on.

 

Conner had a kid playing d-line and running back, for goodness sake. I didn't see #54, #63, or #75 for SK toting the rock.

People don't realize how big SK actually got overtime. I think they added like 600 in their enrollment in the last 10 or so years. (Don't quote me). IMO, this is directly related to the recent success they are seeing.

Or the fact that independence saw a huge influx of people and possible talent with the housing boom leading up to 2008. More kids=better chance of getting good players. You have the youth football leagues growing and more kids are starting to learn the game early. Good breeding ground for a great program

In all seriousness it's where a lot of folks prefer to land when they move to the region or are looking to stick in a suburban environment. I've talked to a lot of folks that have recently move to NKY and they all seem to like Independence. Only complaint is the distance(15-20 minutes) to everything else but at the same time it's what they like as well.

Independence is like Oz, you drive for hours down lonely desolate roads then at the top of the hill the lights come on and there is civilization. I remember when Indy was that scary place you drove through with the cemetery on both side of the road on the way to Walton

I wasn't either but by all accounts they had a bad game. SK was pretty banged up at the skilled positions.

 

I will say this, the past few years SK's defense has been pretty good regardless of what the offense was doing. SK's defense last night looked as though they were at times out of sync because the offense was. It was kind of strange.

Not what anyone is saying. I'm saying that the numbers do not support your contention. Maybe they just don't have enough talent to platoon.

 

That is exactly what I am saying. They do not have the overall talent to platoon. That is my opinion. I'm done with the argument.
