Had I not been at Church (Eric) I would I have gone to this game. Was hoping for a better, tighter game.

 

Is this a matter of 'national' vs 'Lexington' or does Lafayette have some chinks in the armor not exposed till now?

 

Other than maybe Scott County, is anyone better than Lafayette in the region still?

Lafayette may have better athletes but Trinity's players know the game better. I felt good about Trinity's chances against The General's D but I wasn't sure they would be able to stop Lafayette's O. Other the a late score against Trinity's subs they were ineffective.

 

Wood is the real deal but he is 100% of their offense. Trinity was able to stay with the receivers just long enough to make him tuck and run. Lafayette's touted line is big but they are slow and their technique is bad. It's obvious they rely on overpowering their opponents and they weren't able to do they last night as Trinity was able to stuff any runs from Lafayette most of the night.

 

I still fully expect Lafayette to be playing in December.

With the exception of the late TD scored after Lafayette recovered the muffed punt on T's 6, the Generals have not scored on T's defense in 2 games.

I was at the game. Trinity is just that good. They looked very crisp and disciplined. Lafayette is a decent team, but not on that level. The Generals hung in there against Male and destroyed Boyle county (which may not be as impressive as we all thought that was a week ago), and they'll do well in the region --- maybe even go back to the finals. But this is looking like Trinity's year for the taking.

I'm sorry but it wouldn't be close.

I was there and you could tell in the first 4-5 minutes how this was going to go. I think everyone in the stadium knew.
