August 29, 201610 yr Please let's move on without B Tate this year. Did anyone else notice on the punt he returned he caught it with no defenders within 15 yards of him and he only returns it 6 yards? Lol he really needs to go. I wouldn't mind seeing the Erickson kid (#12) get a shot... He hits holes quick and with authority.
August 29, 201610 yr They are about to score again and might win. 3rd and 4th string. Means nothing. First 25 minutes was all you needed.
August 29, 201610 yr 3rd and 4th string. Means nothing. First 25 minutes was all you needed. I know this but I'm bored sitting here watching the game.
August 29, 201610 yr I wouldn't mind seeing the Erickson kid (#12) get a shot... He hits holes quick and with authority. And another nice punt return by Erickson.
August 29, 201610 yr Why did the Bengals put Brandon Tate back to return that punt with 4 minutes to go in the game? Give the young guy another chance to return one!!
August 29, 201610 yr Why did the Bengals put Brandon Tate back to return that punt with 4 minutes to go in the game? Give the young guy another chance to return one!! Agreed... Erickson deserves a shot. Hopefully he makes this team. I think the kid has shown enough to get a spot on the roster.
August 29, 201610 yr I wouldn't mind seeing the Erickson kid (#12) get a shot... He hits holes quick and with authority. I don't see anyway that Erickson doesn't make the team now. In fact I think he has a spot locked now with his play at receiver and special teams. The first 5 wrs are locks now in Green, LaFell, Boyd, Core, and Erickson. Now the 6th spot is up in the air. Tate still could make it only as a wr now not a returner. They may keep him just to have another veteran wr. It will be between him and James Wright for that 6th spot. I liked Kumerow early in camp but his injury set him back and others passed him up.
August 29, 201610 yr I really liked what I saw tonight. Except for the injuries of course. Sit the starters next game and let's get to the real football!
August 29, 201610 yr So I woke up this morning to hear the Bengals actually lost that game lol. I know the first 2 qtrs is really what mattered, but losing that game doesn't say much about the depth of this team if you ask me. We may have depth, but it doesn't sound like the depth is that impressive when it comes to how they play. Defense sounded like they couldn't stop anything in the 2nd half. Here is what I took away from the game. Our young Tackle is a beast. Brandon Tate needs to fade away into retirement and Erickson needs to take over as punt returner. If Tate makes the team this year he will be the drum I beat until I'm blue in the face. He needs to go and go now! Dalton looked really good and has that confidence he showed last year.
August 29, 201610 yr Agreed... Erickson deserves a shot. Hopefully he makes this team. I think the kid has shown enough to get a spot on the roster. As they said last night, if the want Erikson they will not be able to cut him and then have him clear waivers to go to practice squad. I don't believe he would clear waivers. I also don't think they will cut Tate.
