Disagree. JH's senior class of 2012 pops into my head. Middle school champs and undefeated as Freshman. Lost on a last second play to BG otherwise would have been a state champion. The last two years JH's seniors were not good as Freshman and it showed most of the season. Weak districts helped them to a regional title two years ago and last year the underclassmen were a big reason whey they even made it to the regional title game.

 

If you're going to mention past successes when this senior class of kids were younger, then you can mention that North Middle was runner-up in the middle school state tourney right? lol I'm laughing, but you brought up scores from games that not all freshman and underclassmen play in, if they play Friday nights. I mean you put the freshman scores but a year prior to that, North Middle ran the show, bud.

Look no further than Bowling Green Middle School, their 83 kid roster , and dominant play, as a direct reflection of what Wallace requires at that level in order to establish a dominant high school program There is correlation between middle school and high school success.

The correlation is obvious, at least to you and me. Look at teams like Belfry also. Dominant programs at the younger levels and dominant at the varsity level also.

Male high school seniors from the 2015 championship team commented at the end of last year that the ability to play together since they were in youth league football contributed to the commraderie, trust that is earned between players and players that bring the same attitude, commitment, respect and certain level of performance daily to the game.

If you think JH has a good coaching staff then you probably don't know the entire staff...JH should have beaten NH fairly easy, but they didn't and it's directly related to the staff. Their offense is predictable and their discipline is non existent. The only reprieve coach Lewis has is that atrocious offensive line

IMO yes, based on what has happened the last few years. Of course I am getting hammered for that opinion, but I stick what I have said.

I won't debate the middle school/freshman/Jv level scores anymore, I believe it is just a difference of opinions. I find it hard to see how and why people would want a change of coaches only two games in (against a top 5 team in the state overall and an arch rival) and after the success Coach Lewis has had at John Hardin since he has become the head coach. People have come on here and bashed him for not playing a tough schedule and saying it cost them in the playoffs. Now he is playing a tough schedule and you think a change should be made. I mean this guy can't win at all in either situation. At the end of the year maybe this talk could take place. But I think 2 years ago the same talk was happening and then they reeled off wins til semi-state and almost went to state finals but lost to Graves County.

I know that, I said that in my post bud lol I was making a point, that if you're going to go back that far, then why not include the other school's success in middle school. I don't agree with doing that, but I was adding a caveat to his analysis.

I don't think coach Lewis should be fired. Just about anyone could have taken that team last year and won their district. But Coach is gonna have to take the blame for his team's lack of discipline. If you're not close to the program then you may not understand this. Those close enough to the program know the discord and strife permeating throughout that team. That's on him. He should have had the success he's had...his program is littered with enough talent. This didn't just start this year, this began last year, but a couple of wins at the end of the season masked it

Most of us won't be bickering if they lose to a SW in the state semifinals. I don't, however, think it will be easy to get there. They will win their district, but the region is not going to be easy. There are some quality teams on the other side. I thought they would breeze through their region last year and it didn't happen.

you are right about coaches I don't know them but I have watched JH 3 times in last 2years and they looked alot better than they played very predictable and lack of discipline every kid looks like they are trying to make every play.
