August 14, 201610 yr For the 10th year in a row, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is donating funds to police and fire agencies across the United States. His efforts will support K-9 units or allow departments to purchase K-9’s for the field. Ben said in a statement on his website, “We’re very fortunate to be in the position that we are able to help these K-9 units. The work that is performed by the dogs and their handlers as well as the bond that is formed is incredible. We’re just thrilled to do our small part.” Ben’s message to the police and fire community is clear: We are valued by this high profile athlete.
