Basketball season for 2016/2017 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Holy Cross (Covington)? Remember, please be constructive.

I beleive you will see more than most people think out of this team. The talent is there, just have to make it work together.

Can't believe no one else has any input. Come on, where are all the experts who know it all about every player and every team?

When you lose as much talent as Holy Cross lost last year the jury is still going to be out on HC. Bezold, Schrand, Jabukowski are huge holes to fill. Not saying they won't be filled but the general public knows more of what they lost than what was waiting in the wings.

True, the general public doesn't know what HC has. They have some special players that NKY doesn't know about. Keep an eye out for Jaylin Williams, he might be the most physically gifted players in the 9th region.

I would think a couple Sophomores Houston and Macke get some Varsity minutes.

Barnes will be the force in the paint right?

Can't believe you're not getting much response when you asked so nicely.

I thought for sure someone would bite. Lol

Is there a gag order in LA?

Football season will be over in a few weeks.

They will go 9-10 deep and will surprise people. Losing the number of seniors they lost is tough, but it kept a couple of classes of underclassmen well concealed. A couple of very, very athletic seniors in Williams and Barnes, a good junior class including Schrand, Niehaus and Zimmerman, and one of the best sophomore classes in the 9th including Houston, Macke and 6'7" Pete Knochelmann (who still may have another couple of inches left). They lack the seasoned leader/scorer that Bezold was, but they should be able to score. Biggest hurdle to overcome will be defending IMO, although they will be right there with anyone in the 9th after CovCath and Cooper.

Knoch is getting BIG.

Is HC as good as CCH? No, but with their depth, are they capable of some serious upsets this year? Absolutely

It sure is. Like after the first week in December!
