Owensboro RB Landon Board is a player to watch. He put up huge numbers splitting carries last season. He will be the bell cow this year. Having a mammoth offensive line doesn't hurt either.

Why would you think Hayes would have a big year if Litten has a big year. Litton has accounted for over 50% of the offense last two years. When you look at the stats Hayes has not been a big part of the offense but I do believe that changes this year Hayes is not the one that makes the offense go it's all about the quarterback. Again I'm not taking nothing away from Hayes he's a tremendous athlete it's just the offense South runs.

I completely disagree.... Statistics in Previous seasons have to weigh heavily into Mr. Football decisions as well, Litten Clearly wins that battle... I love them both, but facts are facts.

You have to be ruled eligible for a team you have never played 1 regular season snap for before you throw out bold statements about who is the best swiss army knife on the field.

All teriffic players, but history has shown that if you dont have a scholarship to UK on your plate and someone else does that is in contention like this year then you have a slim chance at the award.

I just don't understand how you can evaluate a player like that with a team he hasn't had a single snap with. He isn't eligible to do anything... At all!!

 

I will say the last Mr. Football to beat out a UK offer was yours truly, Nacarius Fant. So it's not that far out of the realm for them to go outside the box, but your point is well taken. A UK offer always has a lot of eye candy to it.

I've never seen the kid play and don't feel he is a Mr Football candidate. He needs to work on his eligibility before anything else He could be practicing for nothing.

You can disagree if you want, but going off previous years Mr. Football has been heavily influenced by the type of offers a kid has instead of the stats. I've already given my opinion that it shouldn't be like that and stats over a career should certainly mean more in the voting.

Going off your other post, it would be hard to give consideration that Ford is the best player at South Warren when he's not eligible. Especially considering there's only one week until the season starts... Not disrespecting his talents, but I think someone on the field is more valuable than someone waiting on his eligibility on the sidelines.

South will go 15-0 but no one is going to be Mr Football when your biggest contest of regular season is Franklin Simpson.

Ty fox (Mason co) should be on that list he had a strong sophomore year and his junior year he got hurt in like the 4th game of the year

Kent Phelps from Paintsville has to be in this conversation also, he committed to Wofford today. For anyone who saw the Tigers play in the state semis, minus 2015 Mr Football Kash Daniel, you have to be excited about what Kent did to keep his team in that game early! Kent is not only a great football player, he is a very high character kid!
