"Should be" and "when possible" leave that rule wide open for any school to do as they please.

Honestly last years' Lafayette game was the only time I've ever heard a peep regarding SK's bench.

Are we seriously complaining about where someone's benches are? Weakest excuse ever for for an advantage.

If the school designates the wrong side the home side then yes.

It's about sportsmanship and class. Schools that only have stands on one side are one thing. Apparently it's to taxing for SK to walk across the field to get to their field house.

I may be mistaken, but I think Dixie does the same thing, and uses the sideline in front of the visitor stands. And I think there are several other teams (I just can't think of anyone specifically) throughout the state that do as well. I really don't find it to be that big of a problem.

If there's stands on both sides of the field I just find it classless to have teams opposite their own fan base. Ranks right up there with watering down a grass field to slow opponents down.

I don't find it classless and certainly don't put it on the level of watering a field down. I have no problem with home field advantage.

Let's say SK ever got stones enough to pay a home and home with Trinity. (I know fantasy land, right?). If the 3 or 4 busses of Trinity fans that would travel to see that epic battle parked themselves in the bleachers behind Trinity's bench are you saying that you don't think the host team would ask them to relocate?

Why does everyone Nickel and dime on every little thing about the SK program? Gets old quick. How about we talk about this year's team and wish them well. The annual midnight madness is tonight in Independence and I plan on going, anyone else going to be there?

I think fans should start sitting behind their team. It's public seating, not numbered or assigned seating. Who cares if they ask you to move it's not like they can make you. According to Khsaa you are sitting behind your team like the rules allow. Maybe if we do that the teams that do this will change their seating/bench arrangements.
