jericho Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Funny how they are talking about doing what Trump wants rondo and for same reason. Keep illegals out. Mexican Newspaper: Build a Trump-Style Wall with Central America
OlDog75 Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Funny how they are talking about doing what Trump wants rondo and for same reason. Keep illegals out. Mexican Newspaper: Build a Trump-Style Wall with Central America Where's the media outrage? Oh yeah, they're busy in Philadelphia crowning someone.
Jim Schue Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Where's the media outrage? Oh yeah, they're busy in Philadelphia crowning someone. Yeah, because the US media goes out of its way to have a strong foreign correspondents department these days. World news is almost nonexistent in US media these days. Americans don't care what happens beyond their immediate surroundings, and US media companies have responded accordingly by shutting down their foreign bureaus. Now I have to go to the BBC and AP for world news.

Hellcats Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 A newspaper along the Texas border is asking for a wall along the southern border. Hmmm... We have a migration issue in this hemisphere that needs more than walls built. Local historians can correct me but didn't we have something called the Monroe Doctrine that asserted our leadership of this hemisphere.

Jesse James Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 This. You meant MSNBC. Care to comment on why Mexico would want a wall on their southern border? Of course I am sure that would be fine if they need to keep out all the illegals right?
UKMustangFan Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Why do I care what Mexico is doing? Are they really a country we're trying to emulate? If that were the case, wouldn't our citizens be flocking there, instead of vice versa?
mexitucky Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 You meant MSNBC. Care to comment on why Mexico would want a wall on their southern border? Of course I am sure that would be fine if they need to keep out all the illegals right? Mexico NEEDS this wall. Their economy is no where near as strong as ours and they have had to default twice as a country in the last 60 years or so. If Mexico collapses again, you don't even want to imagine what our border will look like.
mexitucky Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Why do I care what Mexico is doing? Are they really a country we're trying to emulate? If that were the case, wouldn't our citizens be flocking there, instead of vice versa? You need to worry about domino effects.
Twotoplace Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Where's the media outrage? Oh yeah, they're busy in Philadelphia crowning someone. Why on earth would the U.S. media be outraged about a tongue-in-cheek editorial that appeared in a Mexican newspaper that none of us on this board ever heard of before?
jericho Posted July 27, 2016 Author Posted July 27, 2016 The media runs the way people view things. If the media is saying it and convincing people it's the way, then it usually happens.
jericho Posted July 27, 2016 Author Posted July 27, 2016 The US should care, it's showing how big of a problem Mexico has. Kind of like pot calling kettle black.
Twotoplace Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 The thread title is wrong. Mexico is not calling for a southern wall to be built. One newspaper's editorial board is advocating such, according to Breitbart.
