I guess it was sort of hard to put the Mountain Top Ten together with the way things went, Corbin and Rock going down to the wire, Whitley giving Bell all that they could handle, and Southwestern losing to a good Danville team. Although i thougth that Middlesboro would fall out after being blasted by Central(TN). Overall looks pretty good to me.

Pikeville falls out for losing to Henry Clay, and Somerset still in after giving up 60 points in a half, lol. I really think a lot of the people who vote in that poll don't follow high school football. Middlesboro stays in after getting blasted and not being very good last year also. What could that be based on? The top 5 looks ok though, those teams are interchangable...

I agree this top 10 is pretty bad the top 5 are easy. Sheldon Clark, Corbin and Whitley are debateable, but probably deserve to be in.

 

WHere's Leslie? 10-2 last year, a win in the first week this year. They should be there without a doubt. You could also make a case for Breathitt County a big winner over Fleming. And possibly even Clay.

 

The bottom line is that Somerset and Middlesboro were beaten by a combined 80 points. Neither deserves a spot at this point of the season.

Pikeville should probably be included in the top 10, but after the top 4 or 5 no one has really stood out so far as to make a statement that they belong in the top 10.
