Last night I realized that I'm of an age where I listened to a speechwriter/giver that I'll never hear the likes of again. Some will think that's a good thing - many have probably had more than enough. But the President's ability to deliver a powerful, inspirational, unifying, and yes - a hopeful message - is unparalleled.

Last night was awesome, but I always get caught up in these things and believe I just witnessed the greatest speech of all time. Did the same thing last night. Hell, I thought Bill's speech the night before was one of the best I have seen. The vast majority of these folks are so masterful in front of a microphone and are true professionals at their skill. It is like going to an NBA game for the first time and you marvel at the athleticism.

If the DNC was smart they would end it now.

 

At the end of the day they still have to put Hillary on, she should have led off. Putting lipstick on a pig.

Out of curiosity, how many speakers at the RNC were any of the following:

 

-Convicted/ self proclaimed drug abusers?

-Have faced criminal charges within the past year?

-Under FBI investigation within the past year?

-Recently removed for their position in their National Committee due to leaked emails showing widespread corruption?

It's amazing how easily people (liberals) point their finger at trump and all the bad things he's done to a very small % of American citizens. Did we forget about Hillary????

 

I'm not sure what was on Hillary's emails but how many American citizen's do you think Hillary put in harms way by putting classified information on a private server that is extremely easy to hack? Clearly Russia had no issue getting into the DNC server, what if they have info over her head just waiting for her to become president so she can continue being their puppet.

Having said that, I think it's laughable that President Obama lectured us on Trump's business failings, considering what has been added to the deficit under his watch (and after he told us that deficit spending was "unpatriotic").

 

And, I am particularly enjoying watching the conservatives on this board trying to rationalize away Trump's warts. After years of moral chest thumping and derisive talk of promises broken, arrogance,etc by President Obama, they're hitching their wagon to Donald Trump's star.

 

Watching either side defend either candidate is enjoyable IMO. It's not just restricted to the GOP and Trump.

1. The runner-up endorsed the nominee.

2. Three speeches at the DNC have been better than anything at the RNC.

3. Overall positivism rings better than the doom & gloom over in the GOP.

4. A lot less focused on attacks.

Some do. I agree. But putting a heroin user, a coke user, an illegal immigrant and Michael Brown's mother on stage is just embarrassing.

Despite the full-court press by our Northern Campbell County Republican friends, this fact remains: Trump lacks the maturity and temperament to become the leader of the free world. Putting him in charge of America's nuclear arsenal is one definition of insanity. We now return to our regularly scheduled Hillary bash.
