rocks by at least 28..... Could be worse if rocks keep starters in for three full quarters....

Why only three quarters?

Rebuilt team - heart and soul = mismatch..... so maybe a 15-7 final?

It depends on which way the wind is blowing. As the old saying goes, "Don't spit (or in this case exhale) into the wind."

MBA will be a lot better at covering the pass then stopping the run is my guess.

I agree, and the key, IMO will be how well we protect up front. In year 1 they blitzed the safety out of the cover 2 and got to Brian many times, even though he put up over 400 yards. In year 2, we got the protection we needed, and Savko lit them up, especially when they were blitzing. If we get what we need we will win, mainly in the deep routes down the middle.

MBA impressed me with their short passing game. The recievers ran crisp routes and the QB threw the ball well in the short range passing game. I don't know why they didn't try and run more short passes. It seemed that they couldn't run the ball and when the QB took a 5 or 7 step drop he was getting sacked.

I thought Dunbar controlled MBA up front for most of the game. If it hadn't been an early punt return for MBA and a late fumble on a punt return for Dunbar then this game would have been a different story.

I forsee a pretty evenly matched game. Trinitys offensive line is not all other Trinity fans think it is. They struggled against Scott Co. and as well against Lexington Catholic. If Petrino has to run out of pocket and get chased down every play, the somewhat good pass coverage for MBA could cause fits for Petrino. MBA in the past, except for 2004, usually gives Trinitys offensive line fits because of the blitzing packages they will bring. Look for a hectic day on offense for the Rocks.

The defense in the other hand will also have its ups and downs. Trinity is not that solid at defensive back so if MBA decides to throw 40 times it could be a long day. The line for Trinity will be matched well with MBA's. Also the linebackers for Trinity havent shown much promise for the Rocks except for a few big hits by Jordan Whiting. If the backers stay on their feet approaching the ballcarrier they might just be alright. The defensive ends will be outmatched in size but that is overcomable with the quickness and speed they have. Look for a pretty even game in this match-up.

Homefield advantage proved the winner in the first three meetings. MBA doesnt bring their best when they travel to Louisville that was seen in 2004 when the offense failed to put the ball in the end zone, granted that defense was pretty strong all year until they gave up 14 to Dixie Heights which proved to be enough. Both teams will have their lumps but look for the Rocks to finally sneak out a close game against a better and improved MBA team from last week.

MBA- 14

Trinity- 21

Isn't it funny how the EX people can compliment Trinity now, but still will not recognize them as the champion of 2005.

With t at #1 in some polls and #2 in others, the pebbles should slaughter MBA at the landfill by at at least 40 this season. This usually brilliant matchup is a total mismatch in 2006. MBA is way down from their former selves.

40?? Gentlemen, wait - what if the hurricane was named "Ditka"?

Trinity by 7.

Any word as to who will be starting for trinity in the backfield???? RB, FB, QB, WO etc.

I would suspect Petrino at QB but what about the other positions???

What running game? TRINITY will be throwing all night long!:thumb:

Well you gave that some great thought, but I think that the ROCKS wiil surprise you quit a bit Saturday.

Prediction: TRINITY by 2 TDsThis team has alot of the players from last years team, either as starters or had major playing time. They are more experienced and hungry.

The bidding is now up to two (2) TD's better than MBA....hmmm. :ylsuper:

Will I hear the six (6) TD's as this thread continues, and the pebbles reveal their true feelings about their superiority over a down MBA team?

I think it is way to early to tell who is having a bad team this year or a down year. We are just into the 2nd week of the season. Who know who's bad and not. But so far I guess people are saying MBA is bad this year.
