Palace will have a private practice session about 10:30am at one of the practice fields to the west of PBS. But, watching them from the bridge or the beginning of 2nd street is possible.

I will be working the Reds game tomorrow night. If not, I would have bought tickets to be there for this. Not so much for Crystal Palace but I would want to support the local team and it would sure be a fun environment tomorrow night I bet.

I went, my 3rd FC game. Had a blast. The announced crowd was 35,061. Largest crowd to ever watch a match in the state of Ohio.

I didn't get to follow the game because I was at Forecastle. Final score?

2-0 Palace.

Cummings and Jimmy looked good. It was awesome being on the field during warmup to see how large CP was in person. They were not what I pictured. Built like 170 lb MMA fighters. Zaha is electric, hope he isn't hurt. FCC came out strong in the second half and a most tied it at 1s. However, the physicality and strength separated the teams. FCC obviously won't see that kind of combo again. CP was playing at about 80%. I now, more than ever, want to watch a BPL game bn any of the top 6 teams. It has to be like watching a tennis match with how quickly the ball goes from one end to the other.

An amazing event all the way around! Palace were overwhelmed with their stay here, and coach Pardew wants to not only return next year, he also wants to further the relationship with everything FCC as well as to help FCC move up the divisions of US soccer! There could be an FCC visit to Selhurst Park in the not too distance future.

I liked that he went to a second group at the half. With a short week coming up that features games against the top two teams in the league, everyone's going to need some rest.

 

With so many subs allowed in USL games, it might not be as big a problem as it can be in other leagues.

I was planning to... then my buddy's brother moved his bachelor party to this weekend. So I'm off to Chicago to toast an old college friend instead. If not for that I'd have been there with bells on. Should be between 800 and 1,000 of us making the trek up so there won't be a shortage.

 

But speaking of baking, why ISN'T this a night game? Who put this game at 4 pm during a day in late July?

I've only started to actually watch soccer matches and I agree with everything you said. The difference in size and speed was incredible. Those guys are unreal with the ball on their foot, if only for one day I had jets like Zaha. #22, Mutch scored the first goal and come to find out the guy played 20 EPL games and never scored. I can't wait until the EPL starts, I will be keeping an eye on CPFC.
