Oh he's made his money, may not show up on his personal return but he's made his money.

Unless you do the taxes for the Reds/Bob I'll take the beat writers words over whatever leads you to believe that. I'm sure he's not hurting, but he's not making money hand over fist like some like to think.

According to Jerry Crasnick the Reds have really ramped up their efforts to move Bruce. He mentioned that they've been in discussions with at least 4 teams and are looking for a top prospect in return.

Assuming they're able to land a top-level prospect for him....I'd imagine it'd be one of these guys:

Orioles - Not the best system at all. 21 year old catching prospect Chance Sisco would be a coup IMO.

Indians - No way the Indians part ways with Zimmer or Frazier, and their #3 prospect Bobbie Bradley is a 1B, so he's out. I'd imagine LHP Justus Sheffield would be the target.

Cubs - No way are they moving Happ. Reds would probably be stuck on Jimenez, but may entertain 3B Candelario.

Dodgers - Their top prospects are pitchers, but they have a very deep system. The likes of OF'ers Cody Bellinger, Alex Verdugo, and Yusniel Diaz are also top prospects that would probably interest the Reds. I'd shoot for Verdugo.

Giants - Like Baltimore, not much depth here. SS Christian Arroyo is their top prospect, but have to believe the Reds would jump at the chance to add either P Phil Bickford or Tyler Beede.

Rangers - Major talent in their system. Profar and Gallo are the two major studs, but can't see them dealing either for Bruce unless it was a massive deal and included Disco. OF Lewis Brinson is another top level prospect, that they may be willing to part with.

Nationals - Giolito and Turner aren't going anywhere. The next best Washington has are OF Victor Robles and P Erick Fedde. Both are top 75 prospects, and either would be a big time haul IMO.

Now having said all that, they'll either move him to a team I don't have listed, or make a deal with one of them for someone completely different than what I'm thinking. :lol2:

Fun to speculate either way.

I was talking about Wade Davis with a buddy last night as we watched KC play. Given the market for closers, we both agreed KC should trade Davis.

I'm interested to see what kind of package they'd get in return. It's been mentioned that the Cubs package for Chapman would've been turned down without a second thought. I imagine it'd have to include either Urias or De Leon and one of the OF trio of Diaz, Verdugo, and Bellinger.

They wanted more for him than the Yankees wanted for Miller.

Lucroy is not in the lineup today for the Brewers...

What teams are looking at Lucroy?

A lot....Red Sox, Indians, Mets, Astros, Rangers, Tigers.

Braun scratched from the lineup today.

Something's gotta be up. I get Lucroy (day game after a night game), but what are the chances that both are out at this time of the year, especially when Braun was initially in the lineup?

Right side tightness for Braun.

Story coming soon about #reds at Trade Deadline. Jocketty said clubs haven't been aggressive yet on Bruce

There have been no discussions re: Cozart, said Jocketty. Not looking to move DeSclafani but offers would have to be really good #reds

Sources: The Marlins, who have been looking for rotation depth, have an agreement in place to acquire Padres right-hander Andrew Cashner.
