Hasn't been said yet....

If I had to guess, either Josh Naylor or Luis Castillo are involved.

Agree I thought Naylor would be the best name in it. I don't think they would move Kolek.

Marlins also getting Colin Rea in the deal....May end up being both Naylor and Castillo.

Naylor is going to SD per Rosenthal.

Good call, Padres might have a winner in a few years.

I've always liked Cashner. He has had some rough luck in the last 2 seasons. At one point last year, he led the league in unearned runs. He could do well in Miami.

I know nothing about the prospects that Miami gave up -- anybody have the scoop?

Naylor is the only we know so far. He's a big, strong HR hitting 1B. He was the Marlins 1st round pick (#12 overall) in last year's draft.

Looks like Luis Castillo is also going to the Padres. Not often I get these right. :lol2:

Is it Luis Castillo Jr. ?

Don't believe so, but I guess it's possible.

I didn't think that Luis Castillo is old enough to have a kid that old now, but he played for the Marlins also so I thought it was a possibility. You do remember him don't you? Switch hitter with speed.

Well I just looked it up, and Castillo is 40, so he is old enough to be his dad. I'll have to look and see if he is.

I remember Luis Castillo -- I just looked up his numbers and can't believe how good he was. Career .368 OBP over a 15 year career. For what it's worth, he's 40, so it could be his son.

It's not....His oldest child is 15.
