Yea Sianey is removing alligators from the park. It's just the ones who are he characters. So, so stupid. Like the ones in the parades.

I'm in Florida right now so hearing a lot about this. People I've talked to of course are very sympathetic to the family but they know that they live in Florida and if there's standing pool of fresh water there's a chance there are alligators in it. They also know that there's no way to keep them out. People get gators removed from pools here.

There are an estimated 1.2 million gators living in Florida.

 

FWC has sold out of permits for alligator season this year, August 15 to November 1.

The bottom line is both parents and Disney should be held accountable in this nightmare. Although all of us are ignorant about certain things, If I'm the father of the child I could never forgive myself for being ignorant to the fact that gators can inhabit any body of water in Florida. He will pay a heavy price for what happened. Common sense would tell us that some patrons will be ignorant to the danger of gators in this lake. Not posting appropriate Dangerous Wildlife Warning signs was a huge mistake, for this Disney will pay a huge financial settlement. Many people should learn a valuable lesson from this child's horrible death. Prayers to the family!

Just got back from Disney. The water isn't accessible and signs are everywhere. We even got one on check-in. I had read they were removing gator references from the parks but we didn't notice. There are a few rides where a gator or crocodile is attacking someone and those were the same as before.

I keep hearing about a witness, was the witness the wife,who? In these times people are on the news immediately with their story,video,etc. Have heard the 911 call where it mentioned a possible drowning, nothing about an alligator attack or man thrashing around in the water trying to save his son. Has there been any mention of bruises or other marks on the boy or father caused by the alligator that have been posted. I've heard of none. People are just taking the word of this father. If the boy had been found in an alligator or lost a limb,etc. I'm all in with the story. As is, I don't believe one word of it

Sheriff's dept confirmed there was a witness to the second alligator.

This entire thing happened in a matter of seconds according to the police from what they gathered from other guest that were nearby or looking down from the hotel.

I posted about 18 pages ago in general what I thought about this case and just like I took up for the gorilla in the zoo case, I don't think even one, let alone 2 gators were involved in this incident. Like I mentioned then, have heard all about gators drowning their victims for a later meal and I believe that(after all the guy from Johnny Carson said so), but still would like the see the link where you said the boy and father had visible gator caused injuries. The father supposedly wrestled the gator for a minute or two(I guess,who knows), wouldn't he have cuts,bruises, as well as the boy from being thrased around,drowned. I've only heard the body was completely intact and a 911 call(from someone) that mentioned only potential drowning. Where is the family's 911 call, where's all the beach eyewitnesses, video of any kind from anybody at any time before, during or after this. People film their entire lives when they are on vacation with their cell or whatever. Everyone on here is giving this guy/family the benefit of the doubt because their story is the only one out there. Until i get way more proof, I think the husband and wife were on the beach pretending they were single again, kid wanders off, they finally realize he is gone after possibly half hour or so(who knows) and drowns. They see beware of crocs signs, make up story and the rest is history

Wellons said he was examining Matt Graves' injuries early on the morning of June 15 and told him he needed stitches and antibiotics since he had lacerations from the gator's teeth

 

The official autopsy said the boy died from both drowning and traumatic injuries. He had puncture wounds.

Well there were no "Beware of Crocs" or more accurately "Beware of Gators" signs up any where.

It was late evening and the beach wasn't very crowded that would lead to fewer witnesses but there were some interviewed by police.

 

Maybe you should talk to the police, they've seen 99% more evidence than you or I and they aren't looking to prosecute anyone.

I saw in that linked article that those records were just released to the public this week, which would explain since I haven't been following this case, I hadn't heard any of this. Autopsy is enough for me to change my thoughts on the whole thing. Needed way more than just what the father and an eyewitness said and the official autopsy is enough. Story over.
