Was told former Newport guard Rico Hollis has moved to Covington and is now enrolled at Holmes.

 

Raavai Commodore, LJ Miller, and Rico Hollis should form one of the better junior trios in NKY.

Just like on the girls side this stuff is getting ridiculous and the KHSAA does nothing, yeah they may investigate to a degree but don't go as in depth as they should. Its a shame that in the end that the kids who are doing it right get punished because teams load up and give the others no chance, what a joke high school sports have be come.

Saw them scrimmage at Anderson Co a few days ago. Was he with them then? I thought I heard the name Rico shouted out a couple of times from the bench, but I could have mis-heard.

Regardless of the reason, kid made a legit move with his grandmother to Covington so that is all that matters in the eyes of the KHSAA. Bonafide change of residence.

 

And FWIW, this is the first transfer that Holmes has received in 4 year. Last one was when McClendon left Holy Cross to come to Holmes his sophomore year.

No clue. I just heard about it two days ago. I do know Jaiden is still at Holmes.

I wonder if Wiggins follows Hollis to Holmes? If that happens, you want to talk about a travesty.......definitely need a KHSAA investigation then.

Kids move between Newport,Covington, and Cincinnati all the time. VERY few of those are even athletes and an even smaller percentage of that would be moves because of sports.

How does the one greene transfer an the other one stay? That sounds odd!!

Wow! Why attack the kid?

Mclendon transfer was 3 yrs ago from Holy Cross to Holmes after Holy Cross lost 6 seniors to graduation. Think he knew they would be down the next year and Holmes was loaded with James Bolden and Co.

 

Didn't Marcus Mullins go from Newport to Holmes then back to Newport? How can that be explained?

 

Now this kid goes from Newport to Holmes after Newport graduates their star players? Just seems to fishy to me I mean come on. I guess it isn't for sports it's for academics.
