He is a mere mortal now...

Congratulations Steve! Great guy. Just curious, because I don't know. Does being a varsity coach in one sport mean you can't officiate another? I'm assuming no, but that was my first thought.

I don't think so. Probably no different than when he was an assistant coach.

He won't post for awhile now as he's too busy eating crow.. Again!

But rest assured next time something happens he'll have "sources" again.

I don't think officiating football would infringe too much on Fro being a varsity b-ball head coach, at least before October 15th, when winter sports can begin practice, although as Clyde said, he's managed coaching and officiating in the past. I'd hate to see him give up officiating, since he is one of the best officials I've dealt with.

Glad to see him get this gig.....he's one of the good guys.

You're welcome.

Stapleton going to stay or go ? You can't stay can you?

Why can't you stay? He has turned down his Southern State head coach offer and has decided to stay on board with Fro!

Now that this mess is all over, TommyGavin out!

First: Congrats to Steve. Well deserved and I can guarantee he will be The Best Dressed Coach in the 10th Region….

As for football officiating. Steve is an excellent football official, but I believe that he turned out early last season due to some back issues and may be altering that part of his life some.

Looking forward to seeing him "suit up" Friday nights !

He chirps without any idea of what's going on

Says the guy who said Reinhardt was getting the job. Talk about no clue. My source at the Kenton County SB still says Stapleton was the first choice by the committee. Someone else made the final call, and as the guru said yesterday, there are some "power parents" not real happy right now.

My apologies for having a favorite in the race. Not to take anything away from Fro, he's a nice guy and a good fit for Scott. I don't even know who Stapleton is. So yes, I was pulling for Reinhardt. If the power parents have more pull than the SB then that's their problem. Either way, looks as if you were wrong, again, which seems to be quite typical. Carry on.

1st or last choice, all irrelevant now. Congratulations Fro
