May 18, 201610 yr The Republicans are not running someone who is under current FBI investigation. The Republicans are not running someone who lied directly to the American people, the family of dead Ambassadors, etc on Benghazi. The Republicans are running a loud mouth who wants to stop illegal immigrants from entering our country and and Syrian refugees until they can be properly looked into. They are running someone who is brash and talks off the cuff and dont give a crap what politically correct person he makes mad. Oh and he has not released his tax returns so that makes him the devil. So now all can see Trump is bad and Hillary is a great Democratic nominee. Get this straight: They're both awful and either will be terrible for our country. Hate-blindness on both sides has had such a blowback that diehard Ds and Rs won't dare admit their candidate sucks too.
May 18, 201610 yr But wait there always Gary Johnson that Knight in Shining Armour thats coming to save us so says the independents, who will get .36% of the vote. I might as well get everyone off to a good start this morning. :lol2: I have no wild misconceptions that Johnson has a snowball's chance in hell of winning. I just wish more people would admit what I've come to realize and that is that the two-party system is broken. If enough people — 15 percent of the electorate — vote Johnson then the Libertarians will have a greater voice at the table toward keeping the corrupt Dems and corrupt GOPers honest.
May 18, 201610 yr I'm assuming we're talking about Trump's personal returns, or are they asking for corporate returns as well? Those may be public already, I don't really know. Personal returns aren't going to show what's he's worth. Just his income and deductions for each individual year being disclosed. Bombshells? Who knows. Maybe he earns way more or less than we think. Maybe he has some kind of embarrassing deductions (not sure what they could be). Or maybe he's being sly and when disclosed, his income will be about what we expect and he has huge charitable deductions for giving away so much money. No way to know.

I agree with you Jim that its broken, and on both sides. But I am not a Libertarian so I cannot get behind those guys. Johnson says some things I like, some I dont. Heck Hillary says stuff I like but that dont mean I am going to vote for her.
May 18, 201610 yr Wow. Hitler comparisons. Way to go off the cliff, JJ. I guess you've missed all the Trump comparisons to Hitler. I agree any comparison of an American politician to Hitler is ridiculous.
May 18, 201610 yr I don't agree with a lot of what is going on in our country, however I also don't see it as going down some ominous path to eternal damnation that so many hardcore right-wingers think it is. I think we're doing a great job making positive strides on social issues and are a complete cluster financially. I would never use terms like damnation because religion has nothing to do with it. I'm an economics and freedom guy. I do think we are on a one course path for socialism and a government so filled with power freedom is void. That scares me.
May 18, 201610 yr Actually, no. I just believe he's probably worth less than he boasts, which is another hole in the blown up parade balloon Trump is. You wouldn't find that from a tax return ?
May 19, 201610 yr I guess you've missed all the Trump comparisons to Hitler. I agree any comparison of an American politician to Hitler is ridiculous. This was my exact point but it clearly went over somes head and the hypocrisy then flowed. How quick some forget what they have posted.
May 19, 201610 yr Author You wouldn't find that from a tax return ? His income is smaller then. Maybe he has been giving Hillary money the whole time too.
May 19, 201610 yr His income is smaller then. Maybe he has been giving Hillary money the whole time too. Income is different from networth and you can find out campaign finances without a tax return.
May 20, 201610 yr Author Trump once revealed his income tax returns. They showed he didn’t pay a cent. - The Washington Post This may be a little deflating.
