George Zimmerman to Auction Gun Used to Kill Trayvon Martin

Featured Replies

The evidence presented wasn't enough to convict the guy.

But he's still an idiot. I wish he'd just go away at this point.

They pulled the auction before it was to start. No reason given.

Sensitivity reasons I'm sure. Got us talking about him though. He wins this round.

I'm sure he won't have any problem selling the gun privately.

It looks like Zimmerman found another auction site to handle the gun auction. And the bids have gone way higher than $5k. In fact, the last bid was just over $65 million dollars by Racist Mcshootface. :lol2:

MIAMI (AP) — Bidding in an online auction for the pistol former neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman used to kill Trayvon Martin appeared to have been hijacked by fake accounts posting astronomically high bids.

At one point early Friday, the bidding surpassed $65 million with the leading bidder using the screen name "Racist McShootFace." The site later showed that account had been deleted.

I envision this going to some kind of white supremacist group that would encase the gun and memorialize it's existence.

Then construct a statue of it to place in front of the capitol building and later claim it has nothing to do with race.

Dude is a grade A #1 buttclown. Even though I came down on his side in the Martin case, I am leaning now that I wish they would have found him guilty just for the fact that the guy just seems too stupid to be out roaming the streets.

No kidding. I wish he could have been found of guilty on the grounds of "simply being George Zimmerman."

Maybe someone will buy then shoot GZ with it.

Oh, the irony.

I read he sold it for $138k.

He also made some comments about Trayvon's parents being bad parents.

Gun buying question: Is this considered a private sale and therefore, doesn't need any background checks for the buyer? I guess this is one of those loopholes to gun regulation?

Sadly, I'm not surprised at either factoid. That gun's bound for some rich racist's trophy case.
