If he was smart, he would've went to CBA whether he did what he did or not. It seems as if all you all do is make negative remarks on pig. He made a mistake, but haven't we all? Pig is a smart, and gifted young man and will do great wherever he ends up. And if I'm not mistaken he still had an offer from Shawnee and Kentucky St so his off the court matters aren't what's keeping him from going to college, he's taking the smarter route and trying to get some bigger offers.

Sounds like in this attached thread I was pulling for him? I legitimately asked the question so see if he still had other options or if his off court actions were determining his route. Glad to hear he is still able to follow his dreams in the manner he wants.

MasonCo16, read your post 5 times. Afraid those close to Pig would read only the part that minimizes his awful lapse of judgement and your attacking those that recognize it for the devastating impact it had on his team, his school, the 10th Region, and critically himself. After rereading I concluded you are not intentionally an enabler; but, pretending there was and will be minimimum impact is doing nothing but that. Hope those that are closest to him will encourage in order to overcome the impacts of his actions there will have to be a conscious desire and substantial behavior modifications.

Someone in this kid's inner circle needs to sound the Twitter Alarm. I've seen more judicious approaches to life's second chances.

I think a change of scenery will be good for Pig if he uses it in the right way. So I wouldn't make a final judgement on him yet.

 

I wish him the best and hope that the end result Pig is a more mature and successful person and ball player.

It's all about who you surround yourself with. They influence us more than we realize. Hopefully a change in scenery will help the young man.

After watching his game for several years, I believe he is a leader by nature. Sure hoping he makes the wise decision to lead in all the right ways both on and off the court.

 

Conrad appears to have great potential for him, and this opportunity will be what he chooses to make of it. Let's hope Conrad focuses on the complete young man and just not basketball. Hope they have a mentoring program that includes life skills, academics, and managing social media (the undoing of many young people).

I believe he had a few offers during the season, but after what went down, I'm unsure if they are still on the table. With the decision to go to Conrad originally, I would be led to think he'd do something similar this time.

If the Shawnee and K-State options were still on the table, I'm not sure why he wouldn't have jumped on those ?

 

I would seriously question any options stronger than the two listed above. Too many extraneous unknowns to take that risk I would guess.

 

I wish nothing but the best for this kid. He made a mistake, while in high school, that could impact his life dramatically. I fully understand this situation and hope he gets on track.

K-State is going through a coaching change so that may or may not be an option at this point.
