AP disrepects NAVY SEAL who died defending us overseas .

I'm failing to find the disrespect.

No reason to bring his disgraced grandfather up in the headline, you put his name in the story because it lets people know who this SEAL was.

It was a cheap shot, because of his grandfathers past actions.

Grandfather was one of Cincinnati's favorite sons!

Not if you are a fan of pornography...

If anything, it humanized the grandfather, a man at the heart of one of America's most notorious financial scandals. I thought it was a good story and said a lot about the soldier in the way that he recognized his grandfather's past and maintained a relationship with him until he died. It would have been very easy to break those family ties. Like I said, I thought it was a good story.

But the internet outrage machine keeps on turning I guess.

I agree it was a good story, I just thought it was cheap putting it in the headline.

I'm with you. Not sure what they did that was disrespectful.

Oh well, people gotta have something to be in an uproar about I guess.

Agree. Part of the story is fine but the headline should be all about this young man who died serving his country.

My Uncle was a stockbroker back in the 80's and lost over $500K in the Keating scandal. He only recovered less than1/3rd so I know a lot about the disgraced grandfather and that whole mess. However, it has nothing to do with the grandson who lost his life fighting for our country.

Much respect to him and I thank you for giving the ultimate sacrifice. That pic of him smoking the cigar floating around the internet is pretty cool.

You don't dig thru dead soldiers lives to print about relatives that did bad things.

I'm missing the point to bring it up in this article, classless and sad.

I think the story is about his relationship with his disgraced grandfather. I don't agree with it but I don't think they intended it to be rude

I'm not upset over the article, but I find it interesting that the author kept going back to the grandfather, every other paragraph. It was like HE couldn't let it go. Like he had to keep reminding the readers why the article was worth reading.

Of course had the Charlie Keating IV not been related to Charles Keating Jr., his death probably would not have made ABC News. Celebrity over sacrifice. The way of things, now.

IF , If you do 2 articles , one stressing how incredibly sad it was to lose such a highly trained service member and how heroic his efforts were to save innocent people and do a second article on the relationship with Grandad I wouldnt care . But to bring up the disgraceful actions of a grandfather in HEADLINE covering the death of the soldier . I'm not outraged , I slept ok last night , maybe you would feel differently if it were your husband , or your fellow SEAL. Sure the old guy was a crook -- was it relevant to the death of a Navy Seal hero ?
