Very loaded. 6'11, 6'8, 6'7 front court. And I think they were 4 deep at guard with a couple in the 6'3 range. I wonder if the players will now stick around.

 

It's kind of suspicious reasoning on the BOE that they allowed Rhodes to continue to coach when Knott Central was loaded and on their 5 year regional championship run but then decide to can him when the Lions are ready to make some championship noise themselves.

Chances are, he doesn't care.

I heard that he wenT to pick up his check and they had cut him 1000 to pay assistant. Didnt go over well and he went to have a talk with principle. I reckon that didnt go well either.

If they cut his check they had to know that wouldn't go over well with him. As a matter of fact it wouldn't go over well with any head coach. It just sounds to me like they were deliberately trying to get into his head and draw a response, and from what the above post says it appears it worked.

The principle is hard for anyone to get along with. He is a pawn that is doing what the rest of the county wants done. He wants to leave and nobody wants him here but I guess he had some work to finish before he goes.

I personally know Mr. Mullins, I think he is a pretty good guy.

What does Alice Whitaker think about this situation? She definitely has a lot of influence when it comes to the Cordia school. And from past situations she always appeared to be a supporter of Rhodes.

Doesn't matter the reason, he is just a basketball coach. Basketball coaches have one year contracts, those contracts can be non-renewed at any time with out reason!
