Featured Replies

This morning I ran to the kitchen to cook up some pig for breakfast. Does that count?

My friend Mark Wehry @CovCathiRadio is one of only 97 that have completed every Flying Pig since its inception.

I just saw the clip of Mark being interviewed this morning on Channel 5. Really impressive what he is doing...nothing but respect for him!

Weather turned out fine. Very humid but no rain! Ran the half in 2:04 - was VERY happy as my goal was 2:10. My daughter finished the full at 4:28...she was happy as well. She did say it is her second AND LAST marathon (she is 26 so we will see):lol2:.

Very cool.

In my experiences you get people that have run one, and you get people that have run multiple. Seldom do you get two and stop. That's just who she is. In my career I have sworn I would never go beyond a 5K, never run a half-marathon, never run another half-marathon after my first, never run a marathon, never run another marathon after my first, never go beyond a sprint triathlon, never do another sprint triathlon, never do an Ironman, never do another Ironmman... but I always come back for more.

Just goes to show you, you can't fix stupid. Just kidding, that is great!

Yje lovely lady completed her 3 way with extra cheese. The BM is proud of her.

I saw Facebook post Dayton Superintendent Jay Brewer just completed his 18th Flying Pig marathon in 3:14:32. I believe this is the 18th year so I guess he is one of the 97 @Clyde

My daughter saw someone at the Marathon wearing a shirt saying they were in the 100 MARATHON club. Cannot imagine....

Wife was supposed to do the marathon, but injury kept her from running.

Went down to cheer on my brother who ran the half. Said he wasn't in very good shape, so he knew it was gonna be a struggle. Only ran it in 1:37:14. :lol2: Guy is absurd.

My mother who is 63 walked the half. She finished 117th out of 880 walkers. I say walkers but I have to jog to keep up. She usually does the full but couldn't this year. I started doing the 10k 8 years ago then after a 5, I moved up to the half which wasn't bad; only I was at around 200lbs. I dropped 20 and I've done the relay the last three years which is a blast.

The full marathoners are wired to be insane. Now way I could be out there for four hours.

Next time you see your brother, tell him I hate him:)!

I ran the Derby Half on Saturday. I also signed up this week for The Rock N Roll Las Vegas Half Marathon and the Walt Disney World "Dopey" Challenge. which is a 5K, 10K, Half, and Full.
