Its deeper than that. Trump's anti free trade, immigration and foreign policy threatens a lot of establishment interests.

 

Trump's RNC opposition spends 1/4 billion in negative advertising against him, then claims he should not be the nominee because he does not poll well against Hillary. Do they think we are stupid?

The Republicans fighting is going to hand the Presidency over to the Democrats and the sad thing is they would rather it be that instead of Trump. But I think it might backfire and I don't know if the RNC will be able to a viable organization after this.

So many things have been said by the establishment, I still don't see them supporting Trump. Either way the RNC will be lucky to survive as we know it.

I have to agree with Trump on this one. They look pathetic and desperate. In political history, has any party done more to try to stop its obvious front runner this late in the game than the R's are doing with Trump? Maybe so but I cannot think of a time where this has happened. The R establishment actually would rather have Obama have a third term or HRC win than Trump...crazy stuff.

Did I hear that Cruz and Kasich might go ahead and name their VP before the convention in an attempt to gain some support and take some support from Trump. A popular choice and a fresh voice/legs on the campaign trail?

Small correction.

This strategy sounds good in the HQs of the candidates but it rarely works with the voters.

 

Kasich voters probably despite Cruz and Cruz voters probably think Kashich is weak. They're not easily going to switch over despite the logic.

When you start with 16 candidates, this is what happens.

Had this been arranged a couple months ago it may have worked. They botched the timing and it has blown up in their faces.
