April 24, 201610 yr Author Dear Quinton, Please please please please do not continue to make decisions like this. Forget about what people may or may not say about you and this incident because people want to see you fail and the "I told you so" comments are coming. Make this a one time deal. You are a tremendous talent with a tremendous opportunity and regardless of what you may hear a lot of people do not want to see you waste your talent and time. Get your mind right and bounce back strong from this.
April 24, 201610 yr I hate to hear this and to be honest it's unexpected. He's a good kid but even good kids make bad decisions, especially when they are fresh out of high school and entering the college atmosphere. I have done everything he did that was mentioned in the article myself when I was younger. Hopefully this is an early wake up call for Q, college life is different. Knowing his father and his prior line of work, I'm sure he will have plenty of things to say to let Quinton know what happens if he continues down that path.
April 24, 201610 yr He got his one incident out of the way. Now it's time to grow up and make better decisions moving forward.
April 25, 201610 yr Instructional permit violation? I take that to mean he didn't have his full license just his permit, and was probably driving alone which is against the law.
April 25, 201610 yr Pretty much covers everything here: He has been charged with failure to produce an insurance card, instructional permit violations, possession of open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana, careless driving, and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Hope he figures it out really fast. And I hope he is not operating a Motor Vehicle anytime soon. Sounds like a Liability behind the wheel to me......

I personally don't think you just make bad decisions overnight! That's just me. Just so happens he got caught! I really hope for the kids sake that he figures it out really fast. The only thing IMO missing from the above charges is a Concealed Weapon. He covered just about everything else in 1 Stop.
April 25, 201610 yr I dont think its just an overnight thing of having pot with you either. So apparently he is a smokey joe.

He is at WKU and for his sake this better be a one time deal or his once promising future will come to a screeching halt and he'll be back home working for 10 bucks an hour before he knows it.

He covered just about everything else in 1 Stop. Doubt it was a one time deal, as it isn't with most of us. Many people do things until they get caught (by law enforcement, school officials, parents, etc.) or just eventually grow up without ever being caught, or just don't really like what we thought we would. It is how the person (we) respond to that being caught that I think is being alluded to. Hopefully, Q will respond in a positive manner to that.
