My view is the same as Lipton's . Good enough to be on a roster but because of his popularity it made him hard to keep around . I've never said he should be a star , just given a chance to be a backup QB and a special teams guy . Denver ran him out of town , he would have been a good fit behind PM , because no one would be pressing him to start , but they ran him off after trying to sabotage the success he was having ( I watched every minute of every game that year ) Then the Jets gave him zero chance . None . So there was 2-3 years after the year Denver made the playoffs where he got the royal shaft . But NO , he was never going to be a star in the NFL , a serviceable backup - yes . But he sure doesnt suck .

New England gave him a chance and in Philly he couldn't even pass Mark Sanchez on the depth chart and he played quite a bit in the preseason last year.

 

Say that out loud......Tim Tebow couldn't pass Mark Sanchez on the depth chart.

Tebow went from being very accurate 66.4% in College to less than 50% in the NFL.

 

Watching him play his accuracy, or lack of it, was his defining flaw in the NFL.

 

If he could complete passes at a high level he'd be playing today, but just like a golfer that can't putt any more...he can't throw an accurate pass.

11-17 for 189 yards , TD in the 2 min drill . That was his last game before being cut . NOT that I blame them for cutting him . But that performance didnt suck nor was he inaccurate .

Statistically he was not very good. He's washed out on 4 different teams, one of which was with Belichik, who is a coach that is great at finding innovative ways to get the most out of players. He was also with Chip Kelly, a coach who ran a system that should have been taylor made for Tebow. Why do people still believe he got a raw deal.

I think most people want him to succeed because of his character. They can't handle the fact that he was a great college Qb but a less than average pro. I'm a big Gator fan and I love the guy and was always pulling for him. He's a winner but lacks the finer tools of the position to be in the pro's. His tenure in the league was just.

Yeah, those comments are because he won't be playing on Sundays because he sucks at pro football. Surely you recognize sarcasm and wit when people are discussing Tebow. We all know the good that he does, has done and will continue to do.

 

We may never seen a better public figure than Tebow but he still sucks at pro football. I think he would be a great politician and I hope he does it. Politics could use a man like him and I'd love to see him bring some purity into politics. I think he could be the one to do it.
