I heard from a VERY reliable source today that Morehead State is hot on the recruiting path of Vanhoose at Russell.

That sounds about right, He's a good ball player and I personally see Morehead State as a good fit for him. I'm not saying he should go there because I'm sure he'll get more looks but their style of play and that level of D-I basketball will fit his game well.

I wasn't sure he was a D-1 player when I saw him last year, but I have heard that he has improved over the summer.

Ronald Weddington was offered a walk-on spot, and a possible scholly next year but I am pretty sure he turned it down after a few practices.

I agree with scooterbob. He is going to go bigger than MSU. They took, I think, a 3 week trip out to LA and Las Vegas and Vanhoose had big tounreys both places. He was really impressing the scouts out there.

I take it that Vanhoose didn't play well in the Sweet 16, then, since he didn't look like a mid-major talent that day.

The whole team was better than they looked that day. The bright lights and atmosphere seemed to do them in.

I suspect that Graves County had something to do with it.

I'm not buying it yet. He reminds me of a great player at the NAIA level and a good player at the low-major to high DII level.
