Bathroom Wars: Whose side you got?

Featured Replies

All of these "Liberal, Tolerance, PC" type terms. What it all should really come down to is whatever Gender ... Male / Female is printed on the person's birth certificate.

What bothers me even more is that a person be they a man or woman even want another bathroom or to question what their gender is. Geez ...even if one may feel/relate to different that doesn't change them being either male or a female. Look up your birth certificate, that's what you are regardless if you want to be or not. Except for the "spiritual" rebirth, a human is only born once and a spiritual rebirth has absolutely nothing to do with a persons gender.

I sum it up in a way that a friend of mine did ..... 7 1/2 of Obama and we don't even know what bathroom to use. :ohbrother: I'm done here. :lol2:

As to what is in bold, Obama has been the most divisive POTUS in history. What would be funny, if it weren't so sad, was the fact he made the promise to do just the opposite.

Imagine if he was trying to be divisive. Folks would really be mad then. :lol2: :lol2:

My friend....with all due respect of the fact that you are certainly entitled to your opinion, it is jmo that should you believe that this current president has been in any way a good one then we really can't come to any kind agreement other than I can agree to disagree....

So, imo Barak Hussein Obama has been by far The Worst, Most Corrupt president of my 58 year lifetime.

To Quote one of my very favorite lines (among many) of Dr. Martin Luther King ...I ." Judge a man not on the content but on the content of his character" of which B.H.O. has zero.

His actions have shown he has tried, very hard. To believe otherwise is ignoring the facts.

Jimmy Carter is loving it. Someone worse than him. Lol.

If you say so. If he really really wanted to create a divide and prove a point he could have done a helluva lot more in my opinion. As far as divisions go he has failed at dividing properly. Seeing as how the right likes to say he has failed black people let me be the first to say that he failed at dividing blacks and whites. He sucked at that. I know I would have done it a whole lot differently than he did.

Black people agree and disagree. If he was the most corrupt president of your lifetime then blacks would be an unstoppable force in the world right now. Now that I think about it more he has failed black people Horribly. He could have at least gave me my 40 acres and mule. :lol2:

It's amazing. People here want to criminalize an innocent transgender person using the bathroom. Let's have them arrested and locked up/fined/whatever. .... For using the bathroom. Yet Obama, is the the guy who is being divisive.

I can't wait for Obama's term to end just to see who they'll turn their attacks on. I'd love to see Trump in office, just to see if folks can be just as critical and as hard on their guy.

Like I said, ignoring things like his Ferguson debacle.

Nah. I remember that one all too well. He acted like a regular black dude in America. I forget how divisive that can be sometimes. Forgive me.

He spoke before he knew the facts. He supported a criminal over a LEO. He has a habit of that.

Spare me the rhetoric. You're better than that.

Every black person I know, including myself spoke before we knew the facts. All we were being told was unarmed black male shot dead by the police. That's all that we all knew. Obama spoke on it when he didn't have to. He said what a large percentage of black people were saying at that time. And this was AFTER the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman tragedy. And what did Obama do? He sent the justice department to investigate and they found the shooting to be justified and nothing further happened. Then Obama spoke out against attacks against the police but as you say/paraphrase let's continue to ignore facts that don't support our agendas.

So again, if acting like a regular black dude in that particular moment when he spoke out against Mike Brown's death is divisive then so be it. Like I said before, imagine if he was trying to be divisive on purpose like Louis Farrakhan or the leaders of the New Black Panther Party or the member of BLM who refused to meet with Obama because he had been critical of them before he invited him to the White House to talk. The race war would have began already. By all means though, continue to believe he was being divisive on purpose. I don't know what it is like to be a white man and you don't know what it is like to be a black man.

1. Everyone keeps referring to these "loopholes". Predators don't need loopholes. Criminalizing transgenders using the bathroom won't seal up any loopholes, or make these crimes any more or less likely to occur. All the laws will do is punish transgenders who currently aren't harming anyone. And no laws closes the big loophole that really does exist....crimes committed by the same sex in the correct bathroom, which no one seems to be willing to address throughout this entire discussion.

2. While the issue of being transgender is uncomfortable for many, science and psychologists are increasingly convinced that there is a biological component involved. Which means, most transgenders and their families realize that they are "different" at a very early age. What's the point in ignoring it in the hope that it goes away or is a phase. Ignoring it leads to many of the further psychological damage and suffering transgenders experience. As in the case of my friend and his son, his one regret was ignoring everything and trying to force his son into the "correct" gender identity which led to a very strained relationship with his son, a divorce (the boys mother recognized and became "ok" with things very early on) and other difficulties for all parties.

People keep saying that transgenders aren't the target of these laws. But the laws in reality only target them by criminalizing them using the restroom, and people continue to discount and minimize the issues they face by calling what they are going through a "choice", a "phase" or worse just telling them to suck it up, because there just aren't enough of them for the rest of the world to even consider what they are going through.

Two your second point it's basically agreed upon its a mental disorder in the psychology field. Also a study done at Vanderbilt found 80% of children who said they were Transgender spontaneously changed their mind.

Nah. I remember that one all too well. He acted like a regular black dude in America. I forget how divisive that can be sometimes. Forgive me.

The president of the United States isn't a "regular"black dude. He is the president . Just like the presidents before him weren't "regular" white guys. If you want the office to be held to higher standard then you hold yourself to that standard.
