Hillary and Abortion

Featured Replies

This a million times over. It's absolutely ruined multiple forums on here. Use to love coming to BGP to discuss all sorts of topics. Now' date=' unless it's to talk sports, there's no discussion to be found here. Really sad to see the decline.[/quote']

Because you have two of the worst candidates possible and one of them has to win. A loose cannon businessman who says whatever he wants, or a career politician full of corruption. We're all going to lose in some way.

Why do some of you want to be so divisive? You continually paint "the other side" with a broad, dismissive brush. Is it that you don't actually want discussion or you just get more pleasure out of your own side slapping you on the back when you come up with a good put down?

I'm a discussion person. That's why I used to love BGP. It prompted open discussion between multiple sides of an issue. There were several times when this discussion brought me to a different conclusion on an issue than I started with. Now, it's just put downs, baiting and back slapping. If that's your goal, then congratulations. You've succeeded.

Totally my own remarks but I've been disappointed several times in the form of official reprimands or warnings about rules, and removal of posts , while some posters hide behind vague words like " some people " when the intent of their barbs or insults are obvious and they flame flame flame within the rules while stomping on the intent of the rules -which is keeping discussions civil .

I agree its became a left right war on here . A microcosm of our nation really. Look how two solid , honest ( best that I know ) good men were treated in the presidential race - Carson and O'Malley . Carson was treated like a idiot when the guy is a pediatric neurosurgeon , far smarter that the smearing him . Thats just 1 example among 1000's .

Ok , I dont have a clue why that word would be banned but I subbed it out .

Regardless of our "options" for any political office, why can't we (those of us on BGP) discuss issues with at least some open mind, instead of all of the name calling and bashing of one side or the other?

Not a Rush fan but he had some interesting comments, basically that Hill stepped in it with her constituents and they were ticked off. He played quote after quote from the Rowe v Wade crowd demanding that HRC take back her comments and fall in line.

Could get interesting. The only thing she has going for her is that she's slightly less hated than Trump.

Old hag would sacrifice her momma to get elected , let alone someone she doesn't know.

That old hag made time to have a phone conversation with the mother of a friend of mine a few years back. The mother was dying from terminal cancer and when Hillary found out about it , she initiated the phone conversation. The mother was a big fan of Bill and Hillary and Hillary made her last days a little happier. Apparently, even old hags have a soft, caring side. There's some bad in everyone and there's some good in most everyone. That old hag is a mother and a grandmother to those who probably don't see her as a hag at all. I'm sure my friend's mother didn't feel she was a hag either after Hillary's kind gesture. But you do. And that's fine if it makes you feel better about yourself.

I actually agree with you SF. Even very corrupt human beings like Bill and Hillary have some good in them. I am glad she made your friend's mother last days better.

Thanks. I agree. We've all known people who have had very bad character flaws, certainly Bill and Hillary are two of MANY. Doesn't mean they are not capable of some really kind acts as well. We all can have some pretty bad actions at times , even though we are mostly very decent, caring people. I'd say the Clintons are no different.

My post was not made to be divisive. My post was not made to bait if you are talking to me. I pointed that out in the post I answered Mcpapa about. I pointed out that when dealing with abortion, like the post jumperdad made, that the left was not dealing with truth. His post made a lot of common sense to me and I applauded that post. What would you have me to do? Agree with something I dont believe in. Again I dont know any other way to say what I said.

Do I think all liberals are liars, no. Do I think Mcpapa or any here are bad people. No. I think they have to believe what they are posting or they would not post it. Was this was first time anyone who was on a different side said the others were not telling the truth? Maybe I am just not cut out for this.

This I agree with.

Unfortunately, the Politics forum devolved into a glorified urinating contest quite a while back. When a poster tries to engage in meaningful debate, they are often vilified with those broad-brush statements of which you speak; often followed by a couple of yee-hahs and woo-hoos.

And while I often hear people say, "well, that's the way the country is", I wish it weren't so on here. Used to be that BGP was pretty much above that sort of thing. Maybe the hate and hyperbole will subside after November.

Back to the topic at hand, Planned Parenthood now weighing in on this.

Planned Parenthood Exec Slams Hillary Clinton For Calling A ‘Fetus’ An ‘Unborn Child’ - Breitbart

I have been on here before saying how much I despise what PP stands for. The above is one of the reasons why. One of their execs actually says that Clinton is wrong for saying that a fetus is an "unborn child"? This is really sick. If a baby in the womb is not an unborn child, what is it? Has she ever seen a sonogram?

I guess the only way PP can defend what it does (in terms of abortion, not the other health services for women) is to define a baby in the womb as "a mass of nothingness" that magically becomes a human when it leaves the mother and enters the world.

I kinda agree with the sentiment , even an old hag like Hillary can do something good on rare occasion . She called some other families too, like the Benghazi families , and lied right thru her teeth to the mourners .
