March 30, 201610 yr As a big time monstrous fan of D'Angelo Russell and the LA Lakers I can only hope they both can move past this. This is really depressing and not the way I envisioned this season ending. This definitely explains why they looked so horrible against Utah the other night. It's going to suck listening to talking heads rip into D'Angelo. If you hear or see me crying just pay me no mind. Walk on by. I'll be all right eventually. This LA Times column is right on the money about Russell. I heard he wasn't exactly a neurosurgeon-to-be while at Ohio State, either. Not very bright on his part. March 30, 201610 yr What do you really expect if you're an NBA fan? Many of these one-and-done players are clueless about everything in the world except basketball. If you can't assess the consequences of your actions, like Russell, this is what happens. Nice technology toy in his hands, records something, gives it to one of his entourage so they can hear, they put on social media. A high IQ on the basketball court, next to nothing between the ears when he is anywhere else. Very sad.
March 30, 201610 yr If the Lakers draft Ben Simmons things get smoother for D'Angelo even quicker. Two players with absolutely no clue about anything other than a basketball. The Lakers will be the 76ers if they take Simmons, an entitled egomaniac and complete loser. The LSU people are cheering that he's gone. Yes, a bad coach at LSU, but Simmons is the next Tyrus Thomas of the NBA.

D'Angelo and Nick will both speak to the media before tonight's game. I'm interested in seeing how the LA crowd treats him at Staples Center at tonight's game.

March 31, 201610 yr Everyone needs to take a step back here. He clearly made a bad decision, but this will blow over and be forgotten. Talk of career suicide is silly. I don't really understand the situation. At the end of the recording he tells Young he recorded it. How in the hell do you not make him delete it right after that? The video was taken in December. He's now saying it was a snapchat and was somehow hacked. I would say I was hacked as well. :lol2: This team will be completely revamped over the next 1-2 years. Including the coach. The only guys that matter are Clarkson and Randle. I have a feeling they will be able to move on from this.

March 31, 201610 yr This will have no impact on Young beyond the current blow up. No one is refusing to come to LA because of him. 20 year old kid does something stupid...wow like that doesn't happen a couple of thousand times a day. This will all blow over quickly.
