March 30, 201610 yr Backstory: Young D'Angelo Russell secretly videotaped/recorded a conversation between himself and Nick Young. In the recording Nick is telling D'Angelo about the girls he has cheated on Iggy Azalea with. This video somehow gets leaked to a celebrity gossip site. Nick and Iggy are now having issues and young D'Angelo is being frozen out by the entire Lakers team. It is reported that he sat at a table with Lou Williams and Lou Williams got up and walked away. "Isolated" from the team is the term the media is throwing around right now. This story is about a week old but ESPN got wind of it around the third quarter of the Warriors/Wizards game and now Twitter and Instagram are going in hard on young D'Angelo worse than Byron Scott has ever thought about doing. Fans are blowing his Instagram page up big time. The Twitter jokes are pretty good so far. Tomorrow I expect this and the Bro Code and the Locker Room Code to be discussed ad nauseum. I watched the video and it looked like they were in a hotel room but either way, D'Angelo is in a really bad place right now.
March 30, 201610 yr Author As a big time monstrous fan of D'Angelo Russell and the LA Lakers I can only hope they both can move past this. This is really depressing and not the way I envisioned this season ending. This definitely explains why they looked so horrible against Utah the other night. It's going to suck listening to talking heads rip into D'Angelo. If you hear or see me crying just pay me no mind. Walk on by. I'll be all right eventually.

March 30, 201610 yr Lakers will fix this. They'll get rid of Young and anyone else who plays along. Randle, Clarkson, etc are all replaceable.

I don't know how he ever "gets past" this in the Laker locker room. There are some lines you just do NOT cross and this is definitely one of them. He will probably need a fresh start somewhere else but players on other teams may not be very forgiving either.

March 30, 201610 yr The league can be very cruel in many ways, this is just another one of those. A lot of people were giddy when the Lakers picked him. I always felt it was a bad fit. Because 1. Comparing him to Kobe and him taking over the team was not fair, and only setting him up to fail. 2. That locker room was way to immature to throw him into that. Kobe has checked out, he's don't care like he use to at this point. 3.byron scott is terrible. 4. The LA life is not an easy neighborhood to fit into. Had he went to the spurs, his clock would be way less but his development would be ahead of schedule. The Spurs and Pop would have had a plan for him, other than saying he's taking over for Tim Duncan. Gezzzz

Why in the world wouldn't be delete that video immediately and #2. Why in the world would he be the one to purposely leak it? Is he that damn stupid?

March 30, 201610 yr Author He's definitely not done. Nick Young will be gone and Byron Scott will be done before he is done. I think the next year or two will be socially awkward for him but as time goes on this will be be forgiven. Not forgotten but forgiven. He's still 19. There will be some folks that give him a pass. I see guys like Clarkson, Randle and Nance forgiving him and moving on quicker than the older vets like Lou Williams, Hibbert, etc and the Lakers organization will move those dudes out. Keep in mind Kobe did the same type of thing to Shaq back in the day also. He recovered from it and he was older than D'Angelo. This is story is a week old and before the Utah game D'Angelo had a good game so he has played through it. Tonight will be interesting now that this is a national news story.

I can't wrap my head around why he would leak it himself. It's bad enough he didn't delete it immediately after telling Nick he was recording him.
