January 11, 20179 yr Will Bowden get the OSU offer? From everything I've read they likely stay away. OSU only has 17 commits. But they've been insanely picky this year because they don't have very many spots open and are crunched for space. They haven't been offered yet because they were holding out in some fringe guys that they had mutual interest with but didn't ultimately commit. But I think Bowden will for sure be a member of this OSU class now.

Meyer at Florida takes him. Meyer today doesn't have that same energy to take a chance on him. That said, I hope he does well at UK and earns a degree. Great athlete.

I'm not going to elaborate but there is a reason why OSU wouldn't offer a top 5 OH kid. Still, let's give him a chance to get to Lexington and see what he does. A lot of these kids grow up in bad environments and situations. I hope he makes the most of his talents at UK and most importantly gets a degree.

I've always trusted your opinion with the football recruits and felt like if OSU wanted him they would have had him. I'm happy that he's a cat though, hopefully he gets any issues he has worked out and will have a great career at UK and then the NFL.
January 14, 20179 yr I found this post regarding Lynn Bowden and his character issues...Hopefully I'm allowed to post it even though it came from a different message board and it's someone else's post. I was just did a google search for Lynn Bowden Issues and this came up. I'm not sure I've ever been excited to watch a player suit up for the Blue and White. "I saw a man who coached Lynn Bowden for his Jr. year at WGH as his backfield coach and asked him about this so called attitude problem I've been reading. This coach, who has coached for over 45 yrs, said he never had a problem like that with Lynn. He described Lynn as a good QB prospect who was a great leader on the field who the other players looked up too. Someone who had a calming affect on his teammates when things were getting tough and they needed points, Lynn would gather them around prior to going onto the field for the next set of plays and tell the team that they were going to march right down the field and score with no problem and the kids bought into it. He said Lynn was a player who would be walking the sidelines whistling to stay loose and the other players would feel the same way when the game was tight. He practiced hard and always wanted perfection in everything he did. He liked to share the glory which was evident to anyone who ever heard Lynn talk to reporters after games. Lynn was a born leader and this coach had no problem recommending him. He said all this BS about a head case was just that, BS people trying to hurt Lynn." January 14, 20179 yr He's from the same city and high school as Maurice Clarett, recruited by Clarett's cousin, as long as he has more guidance in college than Mo had, he will be just fine.
