I honestly think nothing works for this kind of human. If he had done this to one of my kids, and I was able to get my hands on him, he wouldn't receive beatings. He'd only get one, his last one. Is this violent? You better believe it.

I've got to think he opened his mouth or popped off to the wrong individual in the big house. Am I sorry he got beat up? No.

By the way, you fish? Cause you do a great job at baiting hooks. :lol2:

Love fishing... ;)

It's true that it's not easy to rehabilitate sex offenders but it's certainly not impossible. I'm sure, though, that beatings, have never been shown to take away an offender's desire for children. I think probably what you folks are applauding is the sort of action that would be applauded in Iran or Syria. Surely we are more civil than those places, ... aren't we? Again, no love at all for Jared Fogle, just not as violent as some of you folks, I guess.

If someone were to punch you in the face, successively harder every time you reached for a candy bar, sooner or later, you would stop reaching.

One of the most outlandish statements I've ever read anywhere in any forum. My father has been a mental health professional for nearly five decades and he literally just about fell out of his chair. I watched him!!!

I'm guessing he does not specialize in sex offender therapy or he may have a better understanding.

You continually refer to posters' political orientation...no where does that come up in these posts.

You also continually refer to an "either / or" scenario of "either" rehabilitation "or" getting a beat down....guess, what...you can get both and at times, they benefit each other.

Most have not advocated physical violence on here, but rather they accept that those are the rules of the village he lives in....you can refer to a "civil" society all you want...you don't get that in the system, you get what you get, period.

As for rehabilitation, in some cases it can have some effectiveness, but with sex offender, in particular those fixated on younger victims, it is significant hurdle to cross and typically takes many years to gain small inroads.

You're baiting and you know it...it's your MO and you have no other...it's tiresome but it entertains you intellectual center of gravity....good for you.

Sorry OlDog, this is likely not the case. He was marked before he hit the door and it is much more likely that the guy who did the beating was rewarded with Tasty Cakes and Top Ramen....that's how the game works. It's not a perfect system, but it is the system....

Under what license do you practice ?...and while we are at it, why don't you cite some references....you seem to be the academian in the crowd....

We are, but he ain't living out here amongst us common folk now is he ?

Dad says that's not the way mental illness is cured. He's the professional in the psychiatric field. I just know what I've read. I've yet to read where successively harder punches in the face cure mental illness.

I'm all for cutting his you know what off and letting him bleed to death.

I never said it would cure mental illness. I said you would stop reaching for that candy bar once you got your face punched hard enough and often enough. Your survival instinct would dictate that. Tell Daddy thanks for the Psych lesson.

I also do not buy into the Mental Illness argument in this case. Calling it an illness gives Jared an out, like maybe it was not his fault because he was sick. I call bullcrap. He did what he did because he wanted to do it. Now he gets to pay the price for doing it.

Nah, cut it off and make sure he lives. Much more cruel.

Please don't say this kinda stuff out in public. I mean, online, you are pretty much anonymous and it doesn't matter, but out amongst highly intelligent people... no, don't say things like this.

So you prefer to give him a pass by saying he was ill? Sorry, not buying that bullcrap. He is a sexual predator and child molester, not a victim. I know your ilk like to make excuses for people like this, but no passes given by me.

Your right....The crueler the better.

Thanks Science...I have figured myself out. I have a mental illness...every time I hear about sexual predators of kids, I want to get angry and violent...therefore when talking about the subject, anything I say or do is OK.
