Damn right I would. That's what these 12 or 15 yrs are for. That's a pretty good little timeout. Civil countries and civil beings handle things without resorting to violence. I question how civil we are anymore.

 

He already got that timeout. His peers don't feel the punishment fits his crimes, obviously.

If it were one of my kids that he raped, his treatment would come in the form of 185 grains of lead injected into his cranium at 1,080 feet per second.

Like I said before. Our prison system is horribly broken, and unnecessarily violent for the typical offender (most are not rapists, murderers etc). That being said, I have a hard time working up sympathy for rapists, molesters and murders that experience pain and suffering while in prison. And the world is a better place with them locked up and off the street.

I am betting that a jury of my peers would fail to convict me of this crime of passion. I doubt a Prosecutor's office would even bring the case to trial.

As the Rock would say , it don't matter what his peers feel. Those who beat him up should get their timeout extended. Violence of this sort can't be excused. Again, I'm not a fan of Jared, just think it's silly to applaud violent acts against the man. I would prefer he get himself well than get beaten up . I certainly don't have much good to say about Jared or his Sub-teen proclivities, but I just don't see that violence against his person is anything to applaud.

Advocating? No. But just like the Jeffery Dahlmer case, if it happens, I would lose no sleep over it.

I would like to discuss if there are options other than beating or maming that might be more productive ways of rehabilitating characters like Jared. For the sake of other children, I want people like Jared to be better when they leave the pokey. I'm not sure that beatings of these guys help any of our children.

If you wanted a serious discussion, maybe you should have gone about it a different way rather than rehashing the same old things from the other thread.

 

Jared has a mental illness so there is no rehabilitation. He will never be better when he leaves..unless he leaves in a body bag.
