March 17, 201610 yr It's going to happen. The GOP establishment hates Trump so much they'd rather see Hilary win the White House and save their majority in Congress than have Trump win. This. With Trump it is a lose lose for them.
March 17, 201610 yr If the establishment pursues this course, it will destroy that which they seek to control. Much like in '68 with the Dems. A great short documentary about that Convention aired in '84.
March 17, 201610 yr The establishment GOP hates Trump because they see him as a loser in the fall. Above all else they want to win the presidency and they want to win more seats in Congress. They fear if Trump gets the nomination they will lose on both fronts
March 17, 201610 yr The establishment GOP hates Trump because they see him as a loser in the fall. Above all else they want to win the presidency and they want to win more seats in Congress. They fear if Trump gets the nomination they will lose on both fronts I think that is their excuse. But I really feel it is because they can not control him.
March 17, 201610 yr I think that is their excuse. But I really feel it is because they can not control him. Bingo. They may fear him WINNING in the fall more than him LOSING...
March 18, 201610 yr My guess is if they do this then it will guarantee a Dem wins the white house. Trump will most likely run 3rd party and take too many R votes.
March 21, 201610 yr I'm not a Trump supporter as I've stated to this point but I won't support the GOP not giving him a fair shake at the convention. But if Trump doesn't get the needed delegates he can't claim the nomination or say he was railroaded. Cruz still has a path to pass him in delegates. Even if they end up close but neither get the needed delegates the system in place is there for a reason. If Trump ends with a huge lead then he needs the nomination . I'll probably look much more into Gary Johnson and weight voting for the candidate who is closest to me or the candidate who can block Hillary.

March 27, 201610 yr Author Mr. Delegate, change your vote or... Hillary's agitators that have been picking fights at Trump rallies can now just shoot the middle class American's coming to support their candidate. Then they can blame it on the right wing gun owners. That's a more likely narrative.
March 27, 201610 yr Trump threatens to upset the apple cart. The cart is mostlhy filled with rotten apples. But those who rely on the apple cart do not care. For why Trump is such a threat to both establishment parties and other institutions that have power see Judge Napalanto's 'What if' video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCGHPuuo894 I would say its far more likely that Trump faces risk to his family and person that a gun fight breaking out at convention.
