It would actually be 1189 x2 as an all boys school...

I think he was off by 2811.

NCC can beat Murray, but it will not be easy. They play smart and their big guy is a football player but has a nice touch inside. If they can escape Murray, they will run into some athletes with Dunbar/Bowling Green.

I enjoyed yesterday in Lexington.

Haha is that all you got? I think it is funny little 2A NewCath beat the big 4000 plus all boys school.

I thought NewCath was 1A school? How many students do they have?

Trinity is all boys with an enrollment of 1189

NewCath is coed with an enrollment of 342 with a total of 191 boys

1189 - 191 = 998

Trinity has 998 more boys than NewCath

You gotta give the NCC defense a lot of the credit in how poor the Shamrocks played as well. I attribute some of the poor shooting to just being off and in a huge environment.

With that said, I thought NCC played great team defense in their regional championship win and it appears they also played great yesterday.

The keys for NCC advancing will be the Anderson twins and how well they can defend and help on the boards. Hall and Weyer will get theirs and Moeves will also provide some scoring but locking down the other team will be what helps them advance.

Actually 1189 so you were actually only off by 3,811 students.

Sorry 2,811 difference hit wrong number.

To me the only math that matters at this point is 48-33. NCC is peaking at the right time of the year, and I hope their run continues. They are a true TEAM - know their roles, believe in one another, play great team D, and are making enough shots to win.

Which region did SK win this year? My team laid a tremendous egg after winning the most balanced region in the state. Your guys took it on the chin in the first round of the regionals. Again it must be miserable to be you.

We are talking NewCath/Trinity in this thread.

Their ball movement was very slow though. NewCath going over screens changed up what I am sure they were used to. They seemed hesitant to take rub off the pick and go towards the foul line. It looked like they wanted to rub off the screen to get free for a 3.

That's probably the case. In seeing them play around Louisville, most teams either tried to get through screens (unsuccessfully), or switched (where they could get loose). Great strategy for NCC.
