Ben Simmons is an incredible talent that's about to find out just how good everyone else in the NBA is

Jeff Goodman Ha Ha

I think this is all a setup for the inevitable...Johnny Jones is about to be fired (finally).

Joke program. Dale Brown would have that team in Sweet 16 at least.

How many Sweet 16's did Shaquille O'Neal and Chris Jackson play in?

Is the NIT a money making proposition for big programs? I know football teams (ND) turned down a bowl bid since it would cost the program more money than the purse they would get for playing? Not sure how it works for the NIT.

Wow, if true that sucks. The rest of the team should have the option to play without him.

The rest of the team should take dear Ben out back for a little "talk", lets call it.

Agreed, I had said in the early season that LSU, with a coach, could make a run. Typical example of one player running a program. That coach / AD should be fired yesterday if all is true. Should it had been the AD's decision, then it's on him.

None. Round of 32 twice and first round once.

Dale Brown was a great motivator but lousy coach.

Examples:

Won the SEC in '79 with great talent behind Scales, Macklin and company. Got bounced in the SEC tourney by UK who lost Dwight Anderson in the first minute. Then lost in 2nd round or so in NCAA.

'80 team won SEC Tourney but were throttled in Regional Final by UL.

'81 team went to Final Four but disappeared vs IU.

'86 team was his best coaching job when he upset UK and went to Final Four. But people forget he played the first round game on their home court and upset Purdue and Memphis there.
