Really? What's the story?

Honestly I have no idea that's just what Coach Rodenberg told us today. I'll ask someone tomorrow what caused the change but until then I would only be guessing.

11 AM? Why so early?

I'll go ahead and save you the time HSSB - I understand 11 AM isn't "early" to everyone. ;)

They can't play if the heat index is over 105, so this is to ensure that it doesn't get that high.

I like the earlier start time. I wish all the games started this early as it would free up more of the afternoon for college football.

I think the score will be 21 20 . Cov. Cath will win because of a missed extra point.

Welcome the site, you are our second RP.

Where's all the love for Boone Co. I am not from NKY, but I would anticipate that Boone Co. has a pretty good team. Nothing against Cov Cath, but NOBODY is picking Boone...? Whats going on at Boone???

Nothing is going on.

Boone's best player will be limited for the game which would be a tough game for Boone to win even if that injury had not happened. Based on past years Boone Co is a slow-starting team and hasn't gotten out of the gate very well versus Covcath recently.

Plus CovCath is at home on a hot Saturday.

NOBODY is picking Boone...?

You are. ;) In the contest thread anyway.

I think last year's 50-19 game is still fresh in most people's minds. Not to mention, CovCath is at least as improved this year over last as Boone Co. is. I'm not sure it will get as out of hand as last year, but I think the potential is there.

I say that even if the outstanding player, Corey Farris, was healthy. Without him this one could get close to ugly. I'm just not sure that Boone Co. will be able to sustain drives, nor am I sure they'll be able to get enough stops on defense to hang around.

Tons of skill players on the field so I predict a high scoring affair.

44-28 CCH prevails..... Bleser throws for 250 and 4 touchdowns. Bovard has all of them.

If Boone is without Farris then it will be hard for them to compete. CCH 44-14

This is an interesting game to consider. Boone is going to play power football (ain't I a genius:jump: ). CovCath with no or only one returning d linemen, looked susceptible to power running in the Glen Este scrimmage (although I'm unsure how much that was attributable to all the kids being sick with the flu). Flynn is good, very good, but we all know that the best of linebackers depends heavily on having good d linemen in front of them tying up the o linemen, so if CovCath does struggle on the d linemen front, Flynn won't be able to stop the run on his own. Geisen and the other linebackers are also good, but it will be real interesting to see of Boone can run the ball like Glen Este did. If so, Boone may just pull the upset, as they will take up lots of game time and keep the ball out the hands of CovCath's JP1 powered offense.

Because of the weather, I have a feeling we'll be seeing Brandon Brown play more offense than defense (as I doubt they are going to need his pass defense skills this week), with Brandon getting fed lots of dump passes and screens in the flat to take advantage of his speed and quickness. And I believe CovCath will be working a lot more on its passing game than its power running game this week.

If Boone can run the ball, its a low scoring game that either team could win. If they can't, its CovCath in a blow out.

So you are going out on a limb and predicting either a tight Boone win or a big CovCath win.
